Chapter 2 - Why HIM?

Two days after this incident, Prem stood dressed up in a white designer shirt with black lettering and light blue jeans, wearing black chucks and smelling fresh, in front of the hall where the Studio Wabisabi casting was to take place.

He was incredibly annoyed. He hadn't expected so many people.

Groups of people were gathering everywhere, either just hoping to see someone they knew and get an autograph, or incredibly nervous about their audition and trying to calm themselves down by talking to like-minded people.

Then there were those who stood around all alone, reciting lyrics, not being approached by anyone except studio staff, and thinking they were God's gift to the TV or movie world, completely convinced that they would have their breakthrough today.

Prem was none of these. He belonged to the rare breed of people who didn't actually want to be here.

He only did it because he had promised P'Paaty he would go and try.

The crowds here were incomprehensible to him.

He knew it wasn't even about a leading role that day, but only about a few supporting roles.

The two main couples in the series, which was the subject of "Until we meet again", had already been found and cast with well-known actors from the BL scene, except for
one of the four, who had hardly any acting experience but was known to some people as the Face Of Asia winner.

Everyone knew Earth, Kao, Fluke and the handsome Ohm.

Prem was really annoyed because he had been rejected for the other modeling job because of his "to fat cheeks", which the model scout from this young fashion company was sure would not have disappeared even if he had lost over 10 kg.

So losing weight also was no more a solution and Paaty triumphed over Prem.

That bothered him terribly.

At first he had thought about just being bad at this casting so that he wouldn't get the job, but then he looked around, there were so many such good-looking, pumped-up guys there that he was sure he had absolutely no chance.

But then he could show what he was made of and actually see it as a little acting exercise.

Maybe he would at least get an extra job and earn a little something.

When he registered, he was given the number 234, which was handed to him on a large piece of self-adhesive paper and had to be clearly visible on his chest. Of course, he knew that with a number over 200, he would be hanging around for quite a while until it was his turn.

Finally he was asked which part he was auditioning for and Prem chose one part of the sidecouple, Win and Team, at first he said Win, but then he found out that only one part of the pair was missing and that was Team. The other part had already been filled by an actor who had been under contract with Wabisabi for 3 years, but had only been allowed to play very small supporting roles until now.

Prem didn't care at all. He then switched to the Team role, as he was sure he wasn't suitable for it anyway.

Finally, he was told how the casting would work.
