The first day of the workshop came so much quicker than Boun and Prem had expected and could probably cope with mentally. There were only three weeks between the casting and the first serious meeting of all the actors who had been casted.
The two chosen as sidecouple had not seen each other since the casting. Both were extremely excited. Oddly enough, Boun was just as excited as Prem, even though he was familiar with the process from other series he had been involved in.
The only difference this time was that his role was bigger and he now had a partner at his side. But not just any partner, he was someone who triggered something in him that he couldn't understand, couldn't grasp.
It confused him and made him happy at the same time, he hated that.
Prem sat at his small breakfast table that morning, showered and dressed far too early. It was half past six. Everyone was supposed to be there by half past nine. He nervously stirred his coffee, which didn't really make any sense as there was no sugar, milk or anything else in it.
Once again, it helped him just to have something to do with his hand.
There was a plate in front of him with half a croissant bitten off, because he knew he had to eat something before this day, but making himself rice and eggs or vegetables in the morning, as was customary in Thailand, was too much for his nerves.
He would probably have burnt his place down that way, or himself. He wasn't a particularly ambitious cook anyway, even if what came out of his mumbling actually tasted quite delicious. It was a kind of natural talent for preparing food without any knowledge of how it actually worked.
He had got up at 5 o'clock this morning.
At 5.15 he stood in front of his empty closet in despair. All the contents were spread out on his bed and looked like the rummage table for women's knickers in the underwear department, after a 50% discount on everything, at Woolworth's, so completely jumbled and splattered like vomit on a sidewalk.
Prem tussled his hair.
What was he going to wear?
Paaty had said it was best to take a comfortable outfit, or something like that. He would certainly get a locker for a change of clothes for the duration of the workshop, and he also thought about how he should do it with his swimming trunks etc. Apart from the workshop, swimming training was also on the agenda for him, as he played a promising new swimmer in the university swimming team and there were no doubles for the swimming scenes.
He fished a few comfortable sports clothes for the workshop out of the completely destroyed pile of clothes on his bed, packed them in a small bag and decided to just bring his swimming gear with him on the training days, which he would certainly be informed of on some kind of schedule. He couldn't leave the wet stuff in the locker after training.
But what should he wear on the first day? That was still not clear to him.
Suddenly he remembered that his mother had recently bought him a kind of lucky charm shirt that was still lying in a bag next to his wardrobe. He was supposed to wear it for the first time on a very special occasion.
Prem's mother was a little superstitious and trusted in talismans, blessings and lucky charms, she always had something like this for Prem when something important was coming up for him.
