The next round was not what the pack of chaos or really any of the first years expected. Normally there would be a battle royal type round where the students would be in teams of three carry one and try to steal the head bands off their heads for various amounts for points like they've seen on tv.
The round was a “mock stealth mission!~” Midnight sung in a tune that sounded like prequirk era's Mariah Carey’ it's time!~’ at the start of the holiday season before going on to explain what the round actually was. “This round is different from past years. This year U.A is having a round that is specifically to show students at their sneakiest and give the kids with less flashy quirks a chance to show their stuff in the form of stealth!” Midnight then turned and addressed the 40 remaining students.
“For this round you all need to team up in teams of four to sneakily navigate a building and find one of the four ‘hostages’ and untie them without getting caught by the roaming ‘guards’ and the security cameras placed around the building. Leave the yellow cameras alone though, those are so the staff and the audience can see you. If you get caught by a camera or a guard you have to start over at the beginning and wait 5 minutes before going back in. The first four teams to untie a hostage gets a spot in the final round! One last thing pack of chaos you are not allowed to have more than two packmates in each team, per a rule set by nedzu.”
Shota got on his microphone and said “problem pup and his alpha's you are not allowed to work together as a mated trio you need to learn to work alongside people other than your mates.”
“Fuck!” *Shoto whisper shouted and Izuku told him that he’ll be fine.
Izuku’s POV
As soon as aunt Nemeri finished explaining the rules and I wished my mates good luck I immediately rushed off to find hagakure, Koda and denki. I chose these three for specific reasons.. hagakure for her invisibility and silent movements, Koda for his quirk which meant he could talk to animals and the fact that there was definitely rats or mice in there.. and denki because you never know when you need a wild card. For myself I decided to go with my Umbreon form mainly because I accidentally found out that I had night vision in this form by waking up in it at midnight one night and the fact that I was basically a living flashlight if it was needed.
After I gathered my team and we lined up at the start I couldn't help but wonder if it was almost Christmas in a dimension or world where quirks didn't exist and my life was just a story and if that world even existed. Something inside my head told me that it did…
