Chapter 6

Joe's POV

I don't know why I waited for him to agree to that chip, but I'm kinda relieved he did. Right now I was waiting outside of the operation room, kinda nervous. The thing I didn't tell him was the fact, that it really wasn't a problem with the chip being inside you, but it's a bit hard getting it inside you. It's kinda dangerous, mainly because the chip is located near the neck. Don't ask me why we did that, it did have a reason but I forgot. Many of my people have died in the operation. Well, not thaaaat many. It's not like it's a 50/50 chance.

After like 2 hours the doctor called me in, and I was relieved to see Kai still breathing.

"Everything worked out fine. He should wake up in like 4 hours or longer", the doctor said.

"Alright, thank you", I responded. Now I just have to wait. I was maybe a bit scared for him to wake up, kinda because it fucking hurts for the first days and I did not tell him about that part. Well, he could have guessed it, doesn't every operation hurt?

I was working on some papers, when my door flew open and one of my workers came in breathing heavily.

"SIR! THE GUY! HE WOKE UP AND HE'S TRYING TO KILL SOMEONE I THINK", she said half screaming.

I looked at the clock next to me. Wtf, only 2 hours have passed after the operation. How the fuck is he awake already and how does he have the energy to stand up, let alone attack someone?!

I ran to the room, were Kai was supposed to be resting, but surprise surprise he wasn't there. It wasn't that hard to find him though because of the screams coming from another room.

After following the sounds and squeezing myself through some people standing in the hallway, I saw a sight I didn't really wanted to see.

Kai, sitting there, on a poor guy, who was trying to block the punches coming his way. Which didn't really seem to work all time, because he was already bleeding. Behind him, three dudes passed out and 4 looking like they're going to be traumatized forever with heavy injuries.

AND KAI MAYBE HAVING A FEW SCRATCHES OVER HIS FACE NOT EVEN BLEEDING.

"KAI WTF ARE YOU DOING", I screamed at him. He looked back at me and then decided to carry on with what he's doing.

"BOSS DO WE HAVE THE PERMISSION TO SHOOT HIM?!", a guy next to me screamed, already holding his gun ready to shoot Kai.

There was literally no reason for me to decline. And yet I did.

"NO WAIT A BIT", I screamed over the people.

I took my taser out and ran to Kai, who still wasn't looking at me. I took that opportunity and tased him. He didn't even scream in shock or something, just fell unconscious in my arms.

After then there was silence.

The guy that was on the ground looked scared at Kai, maybe expecting him to jump up again and kill him. I was expecting that too to be honest, which is why I held him tightly.

No one was moving or saying a word, till Julia came running in.

"JOE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK", she screamed at me. "WHY WOULD'NT YOU LET THE OTHERS SHOOT HIM?! IMAGINE HE KILLED YOU WHILE YOU WERE RUNNING AT HIM OR SOMETHING"

"Well, he didn't-", I was saying but she cut me off.

"HOW WOULD YOU KNOW HE HADN'T HAD A GUN ON HIM?! HE COULD HAVE EASILY SNACHED THAT FROM SOMEONE?!"

I knew what she was saying was true, and I don't even know myself why I did this.

"Listen, we can talk about this later. Let me just take him somewhere where he can't kill someone alright?", I said, and immediatly everyone, besides Julia, jumped out of the way, scared of the boy I was holding. Julia just shook her head but also got out of the way. I got up and went to the room which Kai was in before and just laid him on the bed. He was still heavy but I wasn't in the mood to ask someone to help me. I didn't really know what to do at that point, so I just turned to get some ropes.

While I was doing that, I heard a groan behind me. Because I was that much in shock, I jumped around pointing my gun at him.

Kai was just laying there with a hand on his head and still hadn't opened his eyes.

Kai's POV.

Everything fucking hurts. I don't know what I was thinking when I got up after the operation. I just saw a way of getting away, because no one was in the room with me and I wasn't tied. My mind wasn't really registering the situation, so when a guy was in front of me, I just punched everything that got in my way. Now thinking, that was the dumbest thing I could have done. I don't even know how I'm still alive.

I opened my eyes a bit, to be greeted with a gun pointed straight at me, Joe being the guy holding it.

"What the fuck dude", I said sleepy, but kinda understanding why he was doing it. Heck I would have been surprised if he didn't.

"The hell you mean what the fuck?! Do you even know what you just did?!"

"Yeah Yeah, I know", I said closing my eyes again. My head is hurting, my neck feels like it's gonna rip, and my whole body is bruised from the fight I just had.

I heard a rustle coming from the room, but I didn't open my eyes for that.

Right when I was about to dose off again, Joe began speaking.

"Sit up"

I was curious what he was doing, so I opened my eyes a little.
You know, I wasn't even planning on standing up, but after seeing the look he gave me... I did consider it.

He was standing above me next to the bed, and he looked like he was ready to kill me if I moved the wrong way.

"Did you not fucking hear me?!", he said quietly, but it had enough power that it sent chills over my spine. I immediately jumped up after that.

He didn't say anything just opened the bag he was holding and it was... a first aid kid?

"Eh, Why do-", I wanted to ask what he was planning, but he cut me off.

"Shut up"

After that I didn't spoke a word. Heck I was trying not to breath. I had some cuts over my body and he was cleaning them and putting bandages over them.

I don't know why I was scared. He didn't even do anything. It was just the look he was giving me. He didn't look like the guy I was seeing before the operation at all.

After he was done, he took a chair, put it right in front of me and sat on it. Watching me.

I didn't really know what to do at that point but I was really uncomfortable.

"Speak", he said, not taking an eye off me.

I wasn't really in the mood to speak, so I just decided to act dumb.

"Speak wha-"

"Why did you do that"

Alright fuck that bitch I'm not gonna let him boss me around like that.

"Nah, I'm tired I'm going to sleep", I said. Don't know where that confidence came from, but then I just laid back on the bed again.

Not even a millisecond later, a bullet hit the wall above me.

"Speak I said", he said again.

I don't know how I knew this, but I was sure he wasn't gonna kill me. I remember how he was against someone else shooting me.

"And I said I'm tired"

Then there was a moment of silence, before Joe stood up again.

"Alright, it's your problem if Julia comes in and kills you", he said before going to the door.

I looked at him confused.

"Who's Julia?" 

I heard him laugh at my question.

"You will find out soon", he said before steppingoutside the door and closing it behind him, leaving me even more confused.

I'm pretty sure Joe made Julia up or something, I've been sitting here on the bed for over 3 hours now still not moving because he kinda scared me with that threat. Was that even supposed to be a thread? Anyway, no idea why I stayed awake for so long because of that, I'm going to sleep.
