Chapter 8

Joe's POV.

"That was the dumbest thing I've ever heard you do", I said after Kai explained why he attacked my people.

"I fucking know that, I was just high because of whatever drug you gave me to knock me out for the operation and wasn't thinking right", Kai said, rolling his eyes. 

I sigh. "Alright whatever just don't do it again, because if you do, I assure you Julia wont be holding back next time"

"Yeah yeah I know. what happens now?"

"Dunno. I'm trying to call Emma because she has to know anyone I decide to get into the team, but she won't pick up", I said.

He looked at me confused. "I thought you were the boss"

"Well I am the boss of this group, but the boss of everyone is Emma, my best friend", I said shrugging my shoulders. When I looked at Kai again he was loooking like he was trying to hide his laughter, but a second late he gave up and just laughed his ass off. 

"Whats so funny?"

He paused his laughing to take a deep breath. "It's just that it's making sence now, I knew that you weren't capable of making such a big group, and now i know that you got this spot only because you're befriendet with an important person!? Your just a dumb guy" 

I glared at him. "Just so you know, a dumb guy wouldn't be able to do whatever I'm doing, it's true that maybe I needed some help from a friend to get to this point, but I would have been capable enough to do that also by myself", even though I just said that, I didn't even believe it myself.

He just laughed after that and was about to say something, when my phone suddently rang. 

Kai and I both looked curious and when I saw that Emma was calling, I instantly picked up smiling. 

"Yooo Bro, how ya doing?", she asked in her slightly spanish accent. 

"Hey Emma! I'm fine, what about you?" I said while looking at Kai. He couldn't hear Emma because I didn't have her on speaker.

"Same. So what you up to? You called like three times"

"Ye, well I have someone new again I want in my team" 

"Brother did you kidnapp someone again?" she asked annoyed but also with amusement in her voice. 

"Yeahh I did. But he kidnapped me first!" I said trying to defend my act.

"What...? Well whatever I'll be here in like 10 minutes. See ya"

I could hear a car going on before she hung up. 

"Pff, you sounded like a child talking to it's mother", Kai said while laughing. 

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. She'll be here in about 10 minutes, then she get's to decide wether you stay or die"

"Then why the fuck didn't we do that before I got a chip planted in me?!"

"Because why not" I stood up to get some ropes and handcuffs and stood infront of Kai. "Alright. Now do your hands behind you back"

He looked at me like I was telling him to kiss a squirrel. 
"Now why the fuck do I have to do that? I gave up, it's not like I'm trying to attack someone right now, I'm just sitting here like a normal human being. And a normal human being doesn't need to be constantly tied up"

I looked at him in doubt, but it's not like I'm doing that because of that reason. "It's not up to my  hands, it's because of Emma. She has some strict rules, and you'll have to accept that", I said trying to get his hands together but he refused. 

"Why do you sound like you're actually scared of her?", he said while looking at me with a mocking grin. 

"Well, you know Julia right?", I asked and he nodded confused. "Emma is like 50 times worse", I said calmly and Kai choked on his own spit. He then looked at me a bit of doubt in his eyes but then he just rolled his eyes and put his hands behind his back. I smiled slightly. Even though he is a really stupid guy he knows his limits. Kinda... Well not really, but at some point he understands when it's enough. 

After tying his hands I asked him to go sit on the floor next to the bed. He looked at me angry and annoyed but I reminded him that he doesn't have to do it, it's just for his own safety against Emma. 

"Alright but I swear to fucking god if that woman turns out to be normal I'll rip off your throat", Kai said and sat on the ground. 

"Well if you behave she won't do anything", I said shrugging my soulders. 

"As if she fucking w-", before Kai could finish whatever he wanted to say, we heard a light knock on the door. I looked behind me to see the door already opening, a tall woman coming in. 

"Hello big guy", she said while giving me a hug. I smiled and greeted back. 

"Now let me see who you've brought, I sadly don't have much time today", she said and walked passed me to see Kai sitting on the floor looking at the bed frame besind him. After hearing his mention, he looked up, firstly staring at me then at Emma. And then, suddently his expression changed from awkward to a terrified face. I looked at Emma confused. Sure she looked badass, but not that scary. I couldn't see her face, because her back was infront of me but suddently she laughed maniacally and pointed at Kai. "YOU?!", she screamed while laughing. 

I looked at Kai's now angry expression. Angry and... scared? What is happening? 

"Bitch", he said, but this time not in his usual mocking voice, but more like a small child getting caught stealing something. 

"Wait... Do you guys know eachother?", I asked looking confused. Emma looked at me, I could now see her wide crazy grin. 

"Joe, I intruduce you to my former classmate and ex-boyfriend" she said laughing.
