Kidnapping my kidnapper

Chapter 20

Joe's POV.

"Are you sure we had to take the train? It would be much faster with the car", said Lara.
"I know. But we can't leave any traces behind. What if we have to run away in a different direction from where our cars would be parked? Then they could maybe track these down and find our base", I explained.

"Bullshit. Then why did we take the cars when we had to go to this meeting from before", said Antonio, still annoyed because we left his car to rott there. 

"Because they didn't look that much of a threat. Are you stupid? Weren't you there when we talked about this?", asked Katja after rolling her eyes. Antonio just shrugged his shoulders.

"Alright, we only have 30 minutes left here", said Julia staring ata her phone. Then everyone went to silence. I was thinking about the worst case scenarios that could happen. Like maybe Kai being held hostage and we have to give them money to let him go. Or this could be a trap and they could be hiding behind something ready to shoot us if we step one foot into their base. Or Kai could be working for them now. Or they could have killed him already...
Nah with how Kai behaves I doubed someone could just kill him easily. 

The time went by really fast and before I could really think of anything that could happen we were there already. Well not really, we were only in the nearest train station. But oddly enough their base wasn't in the middle of the woods or something, it was like right next to the city. Well at least then we wouldn't have much trouble to get there, but it sure is weird.

We then walked, following the red point on a map we downloaded from our laptop, till we arrived in front of a huge building. It wasn't only upwards large but also just a really big area. We still had a distance from it, so all these guards walking around couldn't see us.

"Alright. What's the plan now?", asked Lara.

"This is so stupid. There is  no way we're going to go in that building", said Antonio.

"Why don't we just ditch him? We could find another one", said Pepe.

"Boss, really the smartes thing to do right now is to go back, now that we've seen the building I can almost say that we have a chance below 10% to make it in and we haven't even seen the inside", said Tom dead sirious. 

I looked at the building again. It had almost no windows, only some darkened ones in the first floor, I could also see only one door that was closed with bars in front of it. And, of course, just in front of the door there were 5 guards, and maybe like 30 otheres spread around the property. Why this effort? What's in there? What did we get ourselves into? What did Kai get himself into? Why did they take him...

"Alright, I'm gonna ask Emma for help", I said, already searching her name in my contacts.

"Dude wtf? No? That's such a dumb idea. You know you can only call her at an emergency", said Katja.

"Remember the time we called her because you got pulled in a random building and we thought you got kidnapped? Remember what she did!?", said Antonio and flinched, like he really didn't want to relive that memory. 

I also wasn't that happy with having to call her, but I didn't see any other way. Also I always have to call her if there are new members joining, so what's so different if I tell her that our new member got kidnapped? So I just clicked on the call button. 

It ringed like  five times, and I was just praying that she picks up.
After it ringed a bit more i was starting to lose hope, till I finally heard a voice.

"Yo dude, what's up?", Emma said. 

"Hey Emma! Uhh... we got a problem... you still know Kai right? Uh well, he got kidnapped and we kinda need help", I said. I saw Antonio hitting his face with his hand and the others seemed like they took some steps away from me.

"Ugh Idk man. Can't you just take care of that yourself? You have a big team, you know, it's not just the 7 of you", she said.

"I know, but we got in front of their building and they seem like such a big organization. Like they have at least 40 guards and the building looks like it's a fucking airport", I said, and after that there was some silence on the other line.

"Where is the building located at?", she asked, her voice getting a bit more serious. 

"Like in the middle of the city... I can send you the exact location if you wa-"

"Alright I'm sending some people over, including myself. Don't worry I already know where you at. Also don't do anything till we're there, okay?"

I looked at the others. They just looked as confused as me. "Okay...?", I said, before she hung up.

"Wtf?", said Antonio.

We were just there sitting in silence till a voice behind me made me jump.

"Sup", said Emma. She had like 30 armored men with weapons behind her.

"Oh, hey", I said, still confused as fuck.
"Emma is there a reason why you also came or why you took so many people with you?", asked Julia.

"I got some buisness unfinished with this organization. Didn't know I would be doing this so soon but I think this is the best opportunity. So how did Kai get kidnapped?", asked Emma looking at me. I looked at Julia. the said person rolled her eyes and began to explain.

"We were beefing with some people and we left Kai outside because we knew that he wouldn't listen to us if we had something to say, but after we came back we just saw blood everywhere, there were multiple gunshot hits and we found his broken walkie talkie", she said.

"Also my car got damaged", said Antonio, but no one really paid atention to him.

"And you are sure that he didn't die?", asked Emma.

"Well after we tracked him down it lead us to this spot, and I doubed they would drag a dead corpse to their base", I said.

"Alright, you got guns?", Emma asked and I nodded.
"Good. So we just gonne storm in. Try to get past every guard if possible, only shoot him if you have to but try not to kill anybody. We all don't know where Kai is located so we have to check every room we come across. If I say that we're going back, we are going back no buts. Understood?", she said, looking at every person.

"Then let's go"
