Travis stares at the water, a lifeless man in pure white dipped in it, as if a failed baptism.
It hadn't failed, Kenneth wasn't a monster! He wouldn't drown some guy!... Travis assumed. Kenneth held their head underwater until they finally stopped struggling.
" Now, This man is rebirthed into the hands of Self and has devoured his beliefs in a false god, He is a Devourer of God! He is now a better man, Less selfish through the feelings of gratitude! " Kenneth preached, letting go of the man and allowing Travis to carry the man out of the water to give him a pound to the chest, waking him up.
" The Devourers of God have accepted you and you have been reborn, How do you feel? " Travis gently assisted the man up and out of the water, His white clothes wet grey.
" Did the priest just drown me?! " The man pulled away from Travis angrily, brushing something off his clothes.
