Yeosang woke up first, and the others followed suit in the order that they were put down.

Minho groaned, straightening his aching limbs.

Sunghoon crawled toward a wall, hoping it would help him stand. However, gravity affected him differently than before. He began tilting sideways. Instead of stepping to regain balance, he pressed a hand against the wall, slowly sliding down with a squeak.

I couldn't reach him in time to help.

His comical fall, coupled with the relief of everyone waking up, sent me into fits of hysterical giggles. Tears streamed down my face, releasing a mix of fear and despair.

I tried to stifle my laughter, but Sunghoon toppled over in almost a straight position and slid his hand against the wall all the way down. It was the funniest thing I had seen in a while.

"Ouch," Sunghoon said as he hit the floor, still holding his hand against the wall.

I covered my mouth to prevent another burst of laughter.

"I'm sorry. It's not funny."

Indeed, it wasn't. Sunghoon hadn't yet fully recovered from his previous injuries from facing the contract killer. His ribs must have been better though, because he had hugged both me and Minho pretty tightly last night.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Mm... just tired," he mumbled. "I didn't sleep well."

"You slept for hours."

His eyes rounded.

"No. I hardly slept at all," Sunghoon said sternly, baffled by my shameless attempt to claim that I knew his experience better than he did.

"Oh.. you mean at night. Yeah. Me neither. It was too cold," I corrected myself.

"For me, it was too stressful," he blurted.

"Okay. Yeah. Cold made me restless, too," I said, trying to think of a way to change the subject before he said something that would expose our relationship.

"I didn't know if you wanted me to really hug you or just hug you. But then you also..." Sunghoon rumbled, the after effects of the sleeping drug making him dangerously loose-lipped.

I spoke over him.

"Don't worry. Hugging me was okay, although it was a bit awkward."

"It was awkward because-"

"Yeah. I know. Coz you and I aren't normally that close," I said before he could mention that Minho's third wheeling was the actual reason the night had been uncomfortable.

"Uh... mm... Yeah... I," he mumbled, gradually sobering up. He glanced at the cameras. "I- I should rest here for a bit."

I knew him well enough to realize that he didn't really want to sleep anymore but was embarrassed to fail at standing, so he settled into a comfortable position and closed his eyes.

After less than a minute, he jolted up—shocked, quite literally. All the 'citizens' were electrocuted simultaneously for losing the Mafia game. If they hadn't already awakened from the drug-induced coma, they certainly did now. The rattling sound echoed around the pool as if someone had started celebrating New Year's too early, igniting a massive Crackling Fountain.

Sunghoon shook his head, shuddering.

"The second shock is already quite intense," he said defensively, completely misinterpreting my expression.

I wasn't judging him at all; instead, I looked at him with concern as his muscles continued twitching even after the shock. He pressed his lips into a thin line, clearly displeased with the look in my eyes.
