Chapter 45

Hari got to choose our next activity from a list of games often played by idols in their weekly videos or at interviews, variety shows, or other promotional events.

She would have definitely chosen the Pepero game, where the players had to eat a snack stick together, biting as close to the other person's mouth as they dared. However, that game wasn't on the list, so Hari had to settle for the next questionable game: the Paper Kissing game, also known as Suck and Blow.

The rules were simple. Teams formed lines, and the objective was to pass a piece of paper, often thin and sometimes even transparent plastic, using only their mouths. Basically, players kissed, a piece of paper between their lips. Then, they had to draw in air to keep the paper attached to their mouth while turning to the next person in the line.

Hari moved with a buoyant step, each stride carrying a touch of weightlessness, her walking transforming into a dance of joy.

"Can I choose the teams, too?" she asked, pivoting around mischievously.

"Yes. And you will choose the captains for both teams," the plague doctor answered, fully aware of the drama Hari would create.

Hari's eyes sparkled with cunning delight, and a sly grin curved on her lips. She loved wielding power over others.

"I'll be a captain myself. Yeosang can be the captain of the other team."

Her smile widened into a sinister grin, stretching across her face.

"For my team, I'll take Jungkook.... mmm... and..." she said, pausing to consider whom else she would like to 'kiss'.

If looks could have killed, Hari would have died twice over because both Jungkook and Minho glared at her with such intensity that her smile dropped for a second.

Jungkook's facial muscles tightened, revealing a growing sense of disgust as he processed the situation. Though visibly on the verge of erupting in protests, he restrained himself, aware that he couldn't afford to get electrocuted for the fourth time.

With an exaggerated flair, Hari pressed a finger to her lips as if choosing the teams required thorough contemplation. She widened her eyes innocently, acting perplexed like a webtoon character with a thought bubble saying, "Ottoke!"

Hari eyed her options, struggling to decide who else she liked besides Jungkook.

"Yunho. I'll take Yunho."

After selecting the two people she wanted to have next to her in the game, the decision-making ceased to be challenging.

"The last two people for this team are Filina and Bang Chan," she declared.

Okay... I hadn't expected her to choose me. She hated me.

I plodded to my team, expecting something horrible to happen, even before getting there.

Hari commanded us to form a line in the order she desired.

She pushed me between Bang Chan and Yunho.

"Bang Chan is the last one, so you will collect the papers we have passed," she instructed the Stray Kids' leader.

She then maneuvered Jongkook to the front of the line.

"You will be the first, taking one paper at a time and passing it to me."

"We don't have to do as she says, do we?" Jungkook asked, seeking confirmation from the kidnapper.

"The captain assigns the places," the kidnapper declared.

Jungkook spread his arms out in frustration.
