Chapter 46

I couldn't post last Wednesday because I was really busy with work and everything, but here is an extra-long chapter to make up for it. :j

They kept Hari in the mystery room for what felt like a long time, but it had probably been only an hour or two.

Meanwhile, the plague doctor recapped the most entertaining moments of the day.

"The disappointed sasaeng fan shocked her idol."

He replayed footage of Hari ripping her mic off to electrocute Jungkook.

Jungkook's current reaction was displayed on the side. However, he was taking a nap, facing a wall, so there was no reaction, only the regular rise and fall of his chest.

No one was as unbothered by Hari's situation as Jungkook, who relished every minute of not having anyone ogling at him, except, of course, the thousands of people around the world watching the 'show.' But he couldn't feel those eyes. In fact, it was terrifyingly easy to forget the cameras.

Minho stressed about Hari's safety the most. His concern for her wellbeing weighed heavily on him, making others share the anxious sentiment regardless of whether they cared about Hari.

Because of Minho, even I hoped the mystery room was a reward rather than a punishment.

The old home video from Hari's birthday replayed in my mind. The little girl had grinned from ear to ear, dreaming of becoming an idol. Minho had known Hari in that innocent state, with bangs an inch too short, and pink Hello Kitty earrings.

However, Hari wasn't that little girl anymore, and certainly not innocent. She had transformed into someone beyond redemption.

The plague doctor continued highlighting moments from the Paper Kissing game.

"The sasaeng fan wasn't the only one puckering their lips."

He played a slowed-down video clip where the paper slipped, and Minho and Sunghoon pressed their lips together.

"A viewer with the username 'snotokA3' commented: 'Lee Know and Sunghoon look like a married couple who exchange habitual kisses even after losing their spark. Look at them! They aren't even surprised. It's as if they have kissed a million times before.'

The plague doctor circled the pool.

"But have Lee Know and Sunghoon lost their spark?"

He played another video, a compilation of moments from last night.

The first clip showed Minho wrapping his arm around Sunghoon's waist.

The second captured a moment when Minho had turned toward me, so Sunghoon spooned him from the back, intertwining their legs.

In the third clip, they had dozed off, their faces so close they practically breathed each other's exhales.

Another clip featured Sunghoon accidentally cuddling Minho instead of me. He woke up and shifted closer to me, but Minho held onto him, tightening the embrace. What a gentleman... That was when I had been the most cold during the whole night.

A slow-motion video depicted Minho's hand slipping under Sunghoon's shirt, lifting the hem, and revealing a glimpse of his lower abdomen. Naturally, it didn't show what happened after, which involved Sunghoon complaining about Minho's cold hands and Minho promptly turning his back on him, muttering that it had been an accident.

Sleeping in the cold hadn't been romantic, yet the clips made it appear that way. Additionally, the shots predominantly focused on Sunghoon and Minho, which was ironic because I had feared people would realize I was Sunghoon's girlfriend. Now, the viewers probably thought Sunghoon was Minho's secret boyfriend and a close friend of mine because of their relationship.
