Luigi starts to head to his room, but when he reaches the record player, he stops, pulling off the record Spike had on it.
Then he picks up the Sweet Dreams record.
"Hey, kid?"
Luigi looks at Molly, who's just come into his room, holding a record.
"For you. Thought you'd want something for the nights when the city won't let you sleep. Look."
She points to the untouched record player in the corner.
"You even got something to play it on."
Luigi reminds her, "I thought you said it belonged to my parents. I don't want them to be mad I used it."
Molly chuckles, "Well, they made this record too. I think they'd understand."
She sets it on the bed. "Night, kid.", then walks out.
The moment she's gone, Luigi takes the record and drops it in his wastebasket.
Then he turns off the light.
The flashback ends, and Luigi finds himself putting it on the turntable and playing it.
In seconds, a woman starts singing in Italian,
Le stelle brillano luminose sopra di te
Luigi's throat closes up, but he just goes to his room, letting the record keep playing.
Le brezze notturne sembrano sussurrare "Ti amo"
In the bed and breakfast room, Whirl, despite his confusion, is waiting with his ring in his pocket.
He's not prepared when Linda walks through the door, nor when she walks over to embrace him.
When the initial shock wears off, he's hugging her back just as tightly, crying like he'll never stop.
He peppers kisses all over her face, whispering words of love and devotion as she reciprocates.
And then he doesn't waste another second and gets down on one knee, a ring in his hand, a question on his lips.
And of course she nods and holds out her hand, and so of course he takes it, slides the ring on, and kisses her again.
Gli uccelli cantano tra i sicomori
Snoozemore sits at his desk, looking at the picture Luigi showed him.
Then after a beat, he pulls out an envelope, and brings the two torn pieces together.
So funny, without the rip, everyone, including Luigi's parents and Snoozemore, looks so happy together.
He flips them over, looking at the words Wake up on both sides.
Sogna un piccolo sogno su di me
In his hospital room, Bowser opens his eyes with a loud gasp.
