(*Disclaimer* This book is rated PG-13 for swearing and violence*)

When I was three my parents abandoned me, when I was five I ran away from the orphanage and joined a gang of orphans who robbed to survive. At age 12 I was wanted for suspected robbery in 10 states, and about a year ago my gang and I helped rob one of the U.S.'s richest banks, which isn't saying much. This country isn't doin so well.

You'd think we'd be rich as hell, but we aren't. We have to wait months, or longer, to spend the money. We get kidnapped and ransomed by rival gangs. We have to pay damage charges, and we pay for bail even though we always skip court.

And not to mention our little crime syndicate has grown too big. There are WAY more orphans than than you

I have to admit my life was perfect. Yeah, that's right. "Was". It was up till my 17th birthday when my world came crumbling down, and a new one appeared. One that I was not ready for.

And in a single day I had gone from being a happy, yet troubled teen on Earth to being a prisoner in the Land Forgotten.

I stared out of a hole in the wall which we dared to call a 'window'. It was pouring outside. Everything I owned would be soaked! I moved my things to the center of the room like everyone else had, we were lucky to have found this base. We could have been toasted by the lightning. I looked around for my friend Rock.

His real name was actually Adam, but Adam wasn't really a name fit for a gang so when he joined he was renamed Rock.

I finally spotted Rock in a windowless corner, I walked over and leaned against the wall next to him. His black hair was gelled so it stuck up, he wore a grey tee shirt with a worn out design of a British flag on it, a jacket and cargo pants.

"Hey Lil' Dragon." He said nonchalantly.

I know it's tragic isn't it? Out of all of the possible names nicknames I could have been given they named me Little Dragon (or Lil' Dragon, depending).

I should have changed my name to just Dragon by now but I've been reluctant. Dragon was originally the nickname of my mentor before she got married and quit the gang. Word was that she was now a stay at home mother of five children. Only my friend Peacock ever calls me Dragon occasionally, and that's just for short.

"Hey Rock." I said trying to stay calm, even though the younger children were putting everyone on edge by screaming at the loud thunder claps and the lightning that light up the night like it was day. I glanced at his bags which were right next to him. "You should probably move your things or they'll get soaked." I commented indicating his bags.

Rock scoffed "no, you should move your stuff. Everything you own will be soaked if you don't." he warned.

I rolled my eyes but went and retrieved my things anyway. I threw them next to his and leaned against the wall again.

"You should get some sleep tonight, we have a big robbery tomorrow and you've got a big part in our role-play." Rock said smiling slightly probably at the thought of me wearing that stupid blonde wig I always had to wear.

I wanted to argue with him but I was really tired. "OK." I grumbled pulling out my sleeping bag and falling sound asleep.
