(Lil' Dragon's POV)

"Drew." I shook my head, he had to scare me like that. I was sure that the book would begin to curse me, but instead it was only Drew.

We spent my entire resting time writing to each other. That jerk, I didn't get any sleep! Not to mention he was worried about the most idiotic things on the planet, like if my hair had been cut. What the fuck was that all about? I mean seriously, how long had I known that guy? A day? And he's worrying about my hair.

Yeah, sure I was relieved to find out that Pea was fine. But really what is up with all of this magic stuff? I'm not in the world of Cinderella or Peter Pan or whatever. You know what? Next people are going to be telling me that if I clap my hands and chant 'I do, I do, I do believe in Fairies.' I'll save a fairy's life.

Seriously, the world has gone crazy. Too bad it got even crazier... and I think it's dragging me into crazy town with it.

-------------------------------------------

"I AM LIVING IN HELL!" I yelled my voice muffled by my pillow. I'd been in Oridesiania for a day and it'd been the worst day of my life. I might have been over exaggerating but it was still really bad.

I'd had my first taste of school; and let me tell you, school tastes terrible. The lessons weren't even regular school lessons! They were lessons on manners and proper court edict.

BORING!

My parents didn't think I was good enough. In their eyes I was nothing but some dirty street urchin (which I sort of was) who they needed to give an 'extreme makeover; royalty edition'.

I quickly realized that the reason that I was taken in through the secret entrance into the castle was because they were too embarrassed. I also realized that if I really wanted my parents to be proud of me I would have to do my best to be their dream child... especially if that meant I had to pretend to be in love with Fredrick. Which was hard considering he seemed to have no interest in me anymore.

I think the thing that scared me the most were the things I hadn't noticed the day before. The maids had light pink hair, and one of the butlers I saw had dark green hair. The thing that made me happy though was the fact that my parents had unusual hair just like me! I started to feel like I belonged there beside my purple haired mother and neon yellow haired father.

The only thing that annoyed me was that I wasn't allowed to go into the main library. Instead I had my own small library filled with old tattered books. The books weren't very good ones too, they were boring and none of them had any magic spells in them.

I concocted a plan, a plan to learn magic. After all it wasn't fair that Drew got to learn but I didn't. I was determined then and there that I would be 20x better than Drew at magic.

That afternoon during my tutoring I put my plan into action. I had spent my whole lunch hour searching through reference books for something that I could slipping my tutor's tea so she would have to leave to use the 'rest room' (I had to call it that instead of the bathroom because "You don't bathe in the toilet!"... my teacher hit me on the head when I pointed out that someone could bathe in the toilet if they really wanted to.)

When things had looked discouraging I found it! There was, a powder garenteed to work, and the kitchen was in stock when I went to steal some. I don't know why they had it but they did, after all it is a kitchen.

While I was putting the water into the tea pot I slipped the powder into the boiling water. Within ten minutes my tutor had left in a hurry and I had torn an invisibility spell out of one of her books and hidden it down my corset... Which I'd only worn because I was forced to.

When my toutor had came back I smiled innocenly "Are you ok?" I asked

------------------------------------------

That night an hour or two before midnight I had finally mastered the invisibility spell. I crept into the room that I always had lessons in. The walls were lined with hundreds of books on magic going from A to Z and lit dimly by .

I went straight to the 'SP' and skimmed through to the section I'd been looking; Speed Learning. In an hour I would be able to learn all of the spells in the book.

I read through the info twice. The spell sped my body and mind up so I could take in a massive amount of information. I rolled my head and cracked my knuckles before picking up ten of the books. Then I quietly muttered the spell.

"Apprentice Velocity." Instantly I felt my body vibrate and I picked up the first book so fast that if my eyes weren't moving abnormally fast too it would have been blurry. In a minute I had read two of the books, two down around 198 more to go!

As I kept reading and the accelerated speed became more comfortable I was able to read much faster. That shortened my time from a book every 30 seconds to one every 10 seconds or 6 books a minute.

In an hour and a half I was done with all of the books in the whole room. "Apprentice Normality." I said and stared around the room. It was a mess!

"Adapt." I said lazily waving my hand around the room causing red light to wrap around everything and put it all back in order. I had a splitting head ache from all of the knowledge I had obtained in such a short period of time.

"Imperceptible." I said to ensure that the invisible spell was still in effect before I left.

I quietly slipped out of the room and down the hallway. I only passed two maids on my way to my room. When I finally made it back to my room I collapsed on my bed from exhaustion and fell asleep instantly.

My dreams that night were of turning Fredrick into a bug and stomping on him then saving him from death so I could squash him again. But I had another dream, one that made me wake up crying. I hugged my knees to my chest, tears streaming down my face trying to remember what had happened in the dream.

There was only one thing I could say for the next hour and it was a single name... "Drew."
