Chapter 37: What's Past Is Prologue [Part 2]

Standing on the rooftop of the Central City, the Flash overlooked the city that he had protected since he woke up from his coma, all the evils he's faced were nothing compared to the one he now had to face and while he knew it wouldn't be easy; he still had a job to do..he needed to put an end to the meta-human serial killer known as CICADA once and for all

The Flash slowly turned his head as Speed Demon walked up to him as his mask dematerializes and stands next to him as he also overlooks the city but not in the same way his father did..he overlooked it as a city he'd have to once again take

Henry: It might sound ironic given who I'm talking too, but let's just try to end this quickly, shall we?

While Henry full force believed that he could stop Cicada, I mean it was his plan after all..apart of him still wondered if there was more to all of this..like he was overlooking something that went far beyond the meta-human killer

Flash: Just make sure to stick to plan, okay?

Flash asks his son glancing over at him as Henry turns his gaze and gave him an, "Are you kidding me?" look

Henry: You know who you're talking too, right?

Flash: That's why I said it.

He replied back as the Flash runs down the side of the hospital as Henry grips his hands full of anger as his mask covers his face; he still wanted so badly to hurt his father but knew of the consequences

Henry looks down and watches Cicada with the dagger in his hand step out of the hospital where his father currently stood as he overhears their conversation

Flash: Cicada...

Cicada: Is that what you call me?

The dark matter energy makes the dagger glow as he gives it a stern grip

Flash: Not all meta-humans are responsible for what happened to Grace.

But Cicada didn't see it that way...not at all

Cicada: Yes they are. The destruction they cause, the death, the pain...

Flash: I know about pain and death...taking it out on the world. It's not going to help...think about Grace—-

Cicada: She's all I think about, Flash! And I'm making the world safe for her. Every meta-human must go!

Flash: And what about you? You're a meta-human now!

Cicada: I am...and after you're gone, I'll join you.

Cicada looks down at his dagger as it glows brightly sensing the presence of more meta-humans around him

Cicada: All six of you.

Speed Demon runs down the side of the hospital as Xs, Impulse, Vibe and Elongated man come out from their hiding spots

Cicada turns his attention to Speed Demon, the same one who seemed to harbor a hatred

Cicada: You again...

Speed Demon just stands there and doesn't utter a word as Cicada throws his dagger at Speed Demon flies through the air and moves around the meta-human's and then flies back into one of the concrete pillars as it lodges towards itself into the extrapolator which they'd been able to acquire all pieces for

Cicada holds his hand out and tries to call his dagger back but the dagger remains firmly in hold of the wall as Flash and Speed Demon could feel their lightning spark inside them

Flash: It worked..let's see how you like it.

He runs at Cicada and hits him either a punch to the chest followed by a hard uppercut as Speed Demon runs in and jumps into the air and slams his punch onto his chest before picking him and slinging him across into the pillar as Cicada falls to the ground
