||The Spell||

My eyes shoot open, breathing heavily. I gently move Kate off of me and get up and put on a robe.I go to the bathroom and I look myself in the mirror, my hand firmly gripping the sink. I look up and see both Allison and my mom looking at me from behind me. I slowly look behind me, just stop see no one there. "Bring us back Irma, you know you want to." My mom said while touching my shoulder, but I couldn't feel it. "Irma have you seen how my spirit has grown? It's an easy spell." Allison said, she did look older for some reason, but I didn't really think about it.

"I don't know if I could do it, I would betray the new avengers. I can't do that to them." I said while looking at my black covered fingers. "Don't think of it as betraying them Irma, with this power you can bring back all the avengers. In battle, if someone dies you can bring them back to life to live another day." my mom said, I looked at her with the same outfit she had on when she died. I then looked at Allison, she also had the same outfit has the day she was poisoned. I had to do the spell. If I don't then I don't think I could live with myself knowing I had the power to change everything. "I'll do it, I promise. But later so I can do it in private."

Suddenly the door opened revealing Kate with messy hair. I quickly summoned my phone to my hand, acting like I was on the phone. I looked back at the mirror to see that both my mom and Allison were gone. "Who are you talking to?" Kate asked. I pretended to hang up the phone and put it down. "I was just Nick, he just wanted to check up on me." she nods and goes to hug me from behind. She kissed my shoulder and looked right at me through the mirror. "I love you so much Irma. I hope you know that."

I smile back at her and turn around to face her. "You tell me every chance you get Katie. I think I know, and I love you too." I grab her face gently and kiss her. "What time is it?" I ask. She picks up my phone from behind, "It's 3 am. We should go back to sleep." She said, putting my phone back on the sink and dragging me back to bed. She opens up the blanket to let me in. I lay next to a sleeping Lucky, Kate lays on top of me and whispers, "What do you think he is dreaming about." I smile and look at Lucky with purple eyes, reading his mind. "He dreaming about playing in a bunch of little dogs, with Fanny also playing with them." I get confused and look at Kate. She also looks confused. 

"Do you think Lucky got Fanny pregnant?"Kate asks, with wide eyes. I start quietly giggling. "oh damn, Yelena is going to kill you." I say laughing. Kate hides her face under the blanket. I grab her waist and pull her back up. "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you." She smiles and pushes me down on the bed. She snuggles up on my collarbone and closes her eyes, "Go to sleep, Irma." I smile to my self and hug her.

In the morning, I wake up with nobody next to me. I sit up and rub my eyes, I see that Lucky is still in my room but just chewing up a toy. I pet Lucky oh his head, then I hear the bathroom door open. "Well good morning to you." Kate says looking at me while holding my phone. Which seems to be unlocked. I look at her confused. "You weren't on a call with Nick. Why did you lie to me, who were you talking to?" My heart started racing, like it was trying to pound out my chest. I couldn't tell her the truth because then she would try and stop me. I have to lie again, I feel so bad about it. "I was talking to myself, I just felt embarrassed." I play with my fingers and look away. I look back up to see her roll her eyes.

"What is your problem, do you not trust me?" I ask her while getting up from the bed, I walk past her and enter the bathroom. "No I don't. I'm sorry Irma but I really don't. I know when you lie to me. So why can't you just tell me the truth?" Kate says while walking behind me, I grab my toothbrush but put toothpaste on it. I try to ignore her and brush my teeth. "Irma look at me. Tell me the truth." Kate my arm but I quickly pull away from her grasp. I feel the air in the room change. "Kate please just leave it alone." I say with toothpaste in my mouth.  She grabs the toothbrush from my mouth and throw it in the sink, splashing water everywhere. "WHAT THE HELL KATE." 

"TELL ME THE TRUTH. WERE YOU TALKING TO SOMEONE ELSE." I tilt my head, "Are you suggesting that I'm cheating on you?" I ask, I spit the toothpaste from my mouth and look back at her. She shrugged her shoulders, "Well are you?" I roll my eyes and look directly into her eyes. "No Kate, I'm not cheating on you with anyone. How would I be cheating if there is no phone call from anyone on my phone?" I knew she was an over thinker but this was going way too far. "I don't know maybe that person has powers and disappeared when I opened the door." I grab Kate face and make her look at me. 

"Katie, I am not cheating on you with anyone. I only have eyes for you. Didn't I prove that in the restaurant?"Kate look away, kinda in a sad way. She looks back up at me with tears. I grab her arms and pull her in for a hug. "I just don't feel worth it to you." I pull back a little, "You are so worth it Katie. I love you so much, and no one is ever going to change that." She smiles at me and kisses me. I hugs her tightly and grab her face, "Absolutely no one will take me away from you."
