Scott lay on his side, looking out the window. His hand resting on the spot that Wallace had kissed. Although Wallace had done this many, many times before he would always appreciate how kind his roommate was toward him. Scott smiled and closed his eyes as he let himself drift off once again. Wallace smiled sadly at the sight of his sleeping friend. He felt so incredibly lonely yet happy at the same time. Scott was right there, but he was never there in the way he wanted him to be.

After lots of somber thoughts and irritating traffic, the two boys made it home safely. Wallace gently shook Scott in an attempt to wake him. Of course I say attempt because Scott was out like a light. Begrudgingly, Wallace got out of the car, opened Scott's door, and picked him up once again. He shut the car door with his foot and fiddled with his keys for a little. Once he finally got the door open he placed Scott down on their shared mattress and shut the door. Wallace didn't lie down right away, he stood there, looking down at Scott, eventually letting a few stray tears fall down his face. He didn't even know why he was crying. That was a lie actually, he knew exactly why. He knew that Scott would never love him back.

Wallace sat down on the floor in front of the mattress and let himself cry, he never really had given himself time to process how unfortunate this whole ordeal was for him. He hated how pathetic he felt and probably looked, crying over a boy he couldn't have. He was trying his best to keep quiet but he kept letting out shaky breaths and small sobs. With a trembling hand, he pulled out the photo booth picture he had put in his pocket earlier. Tears were falling onto the picture as he looked at it, he kept thinking about how it 'wasn't fair', but when were things ever fair for him?

After a while Scott started to stir and eventually sat up.

"Wallace come to beddd...." Scott mumbled

Wallace quickly was snapped out of his self-pity session at the sound of Scott's voice.

"...What?"

Scott reached his arms out for Wallace.

It seemed like Scott was half asleep and was barely registering what he was saying and or doing. Wallace put the picture down and quickly wiped his tears with his palm. He sat down on the mattress and before he could even process what was happening, Scott had wrapped his arms around Wallace's waist. They were both lying down now.

"Uhm, Scott??"

Scott had already fallen asleep, but Wallace was wide awake. He loved the way this felt, cuddling with Scott, but he knew that if Scott were fully awake this wouldn't be happening right now, and that broke his heart.
