"Please don't be sorry. It's alright. I know how it feels. I promise, no matter who you are, and whoever you will be, and want to be, I will love you either way."
"Even if that means strictly platonicly."

Scott sniffled.

"What if I said I didn't want it to be platonic? Would you be upset with me?"

Wallace loosened the hug, much to Scott's dismay.

"W-wait! I'm sorry! Forget about it! Don't go!"
Scott started crying harder.

"No no no-"
Wallace quickly moved his hands to hold Scott's face in his hands.

"It's okay. Let's breathe for a second, hm?"

Scott shakily nodded as they both went over a few grounding exercises.

"In for four seconds..."

"Scott that was like, 20."

"Really?"

"It's okay, I'll count for you. In, hold, and out."
"Again. In, hold, out. Good job. You're doing so well." Wallace cooed.

Scott let out a nervous laugh.

"Here, let's do it a few more times."

"In, and out..."

After maybe 5 more minutes of this, Scott had calmed down enough to have a conversation with. During this, Scott had ended up cuddled up in Wallace's arms.

"See, that wasn't so bad, was it?"

Scott mumbled a response.

"I'll take that as a yes. But, about what you were saying before that-"

Scott shifted uncomfortably in his arms.

"Scott, I don't think I could ever be upset with you for liking me back."

"But I yelled at you. And I was mean."

"I was mean too. We both were."

"I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too."

Scott sighed.
"I just think I got too carried away. I didn't mean anything I said."

"I know you didn't," Wallace said, stroking his hair.

Scott smiled softly.
"I love you."

"Hm?"

"I really do. And I'm sorry I never cared enough to tell you."

"Scott. You don't have to say that if you don't mean it. I'm fine with staying friends."

"No, I do! And I'll prove it."

"What?-"

Scott quickly leaned forward and pressed a kiss to Wallace's lips. It wasn't long or anything. But that wasn't the point.

He liked him.

Scott actually liked him.

After years and years of continuous pining, it all paid off.

"You- did you just-"
Wallace laughed slightly.
"I didn't expect you to make the first move."

"And what's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing bad! I'm just a bit surprised is all."

Scott giggled.

"As much as I love having you all cuddled up to me, I think we should head home. It's freezing out."

Scott nodded. As he was getting up Wallace quickly scooped him into his arms and carried him back to the car.
