My Story

I did good today

My sister has been living out of state for more than 2 years now.
But when push came to shove and her life changed drastically, all she wanted was to come home.
So that's what I did.
I moved my sister home, just before Christmas.
Without telling our parents a peep.
We revealed the surprise today, snuck her in the restaurant, and had her pipe up with her drink order while we were ordering food.
Pleasantly scared the beejeepers out of Mom and Dad, had everyone crying all around, lots of laughs, smiles, eye rolls, and heart checks.
But I got to hug my sister for the first time since just before my birthday 2 years ago.
And she is home for good.
No stressing Mom and Dad out for a week next month. No fussing through snow and dangerous roads.
She's home.

And I finally got recognized as being able to keep a secret...

Worth every penny to get us to today.
Worth every fib and dodge of proper answers with the reply of "shenanigans!"
