Who is Really on the Throne?

So many people verbally claim Jesus as Savior and Lord, but who .really. lives it out?

This past year has been a whirlwind of ups and downs, certainly more downs than ups...from jury duty to failed relationships, from health scares in my family to moments of panic for me...

It all has me wondering...

Who is really, truly, the Lord of my life? Who is calling the shots, making decisions both big and small that affect me on a daily basis?

Am I the one in control? Or is God the one who is holding the reins?

I know I'm human and flawed, so of I'm the one in control of my life, it's going to flop and fail and continue to fall into a tailspin.

However, I also know that God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. All powerful, always present, and all knowing. He is well able to achieve what He sets out to do in my life. He is always by my side, whether I obey or run my own way, although His desire is for my obedience. He knows all the plans that He has for me, plans for good and not evil, to give me a future and a hope. And He even knows when I'm going to fail, yet He still longs to restore me to His presence.
