Chapter IV - Deeper

After the five heroes arrived safely at the fortress, Stein suddenly began puking.
 
Stein: Ugh! All that travel made me terrified! Do you guys have any water?
 
Frieren: Here you go, Stein.

Frieren gave Stein a bottle of water.

Stein: I'm questioning why the water in the bottle did not evaporate.
 
Kris: We got back safely, father.
 
King Alexander: Thank goodness you're fine, son. Did you guys find something new?
 
Eren: Yeah, we collected these giant mushroom stems, warts, nylium blocks, and shroomlight.
 
Brennen: We also got these roots, vines, and these small mushrooms.
 
King Alexander: Well then, proceed to bring it to the lab for the Royal Scientist to examine.
 
Brennen and Eren: Yes, your majesty.
 
Eren and Brennen followed the king's orders to take the resources to the lab.
 
Stark: My! My! My! What do we have here!?
 
Brennen: We got these things from the Crimson Forest, sir.
 
Stark: You five have discovered a new biome? Interesting. I thought there were no living organisms in the universe.
 
Brennen: It is kind of interesting, sir.
 
Stark: Now, now, Brennen. You don't have to call me, sir. Just call me Stark.
 
Brennen: Okay, Mr. Stark!
 
Brennen and Eren place the collected resources in a chest. Then, Stark begins to do his research.
 
Stark: Thank you, Eren and Brennen.
 
Eren and Brennen: You're welcome, Mr. Stark!
 
Eren and Brennen leave the lab. They both went to Kris, and there was something that Brennen wanted to say to him.
 
Brennen: Kris, can I ask you something?
 
Kris: What is it, Brennen?
 
Brennen: Can we explore more in the future? Please!
 
Brennen's pupils dilate and pout at Kris, wanting to traverse more in the Nether.
 
Kris: What is he doing?
 
Frieren: He's doing his so-called "pouty face.".
 
Kris cannot withstand Brennen's childish begging face. Then he agreed with Brennen's decision.
 
Kris: Okay, I was having the same idea as you, Brennen.
 
Brennen: Wait! Really?
 
Kris: Yes, I'm thinking the same thing as you. I want to travel more outside the fortress.
 
Brennen's eyes begin to sparkle, and she giggles in excitement.
 
Brennen: YIPPEE!! WE COULD TRAVEL AGAIN!!
 
Stein, on the other hand, disagreed with Kris' decision.
 
Stein: Nope! I'd rather stay here!! Or rather, explore the overworld!!
 
Frieren: C'mon.
 
Brennen: Then let's go, Kris!
 
Kris: Lead the way, Eren.
 
Eren nods, and he leads the way. As they walked, Brennen found another biome that was similar to Crimson Forest.
 
Brennen: Whoa! Guys! Look what I've found!
 
Eren: What could it be, Brennen?
 
Brennen: It's like the Crimson Forest that we've explored, but it's full of blue?
 
Frieren: You're right, and also, that place looks warped.
 
Brennen: Then we should check it out!
 
Frieren: BRENNEN! Don't go ahead! YOU'LL FALL!
 
Brennen didn't hear the words of what her sister said. Suddenly, Brennen tripped and fell.
 
Brennen: AHH!!
 
Stein's instincts heard Brennen's screams. His flight or fight response to his mind. Then, he quickly rushes to Brennen and catches his hand.
 
Stein: I got you! I need backup!
 
Everyone began to help Stein pull Brennen up, and he got up safely. Then Frieren quickly hugged his brother.
 
Frieren: I have told you not to be careless, Brennen.
 
Brennen: I understand, sis'. I will never do it again.
 
Eren: Hey guys, we're here.
 
Kris: Look at this biome. It's similar to the Crimson Forest, but blue.
 
Eren: Then let's start collecting these resources!
 
They all began to collect the biome's resources.
 
Brennen: Is it just me? Or we're feeling that we're not doing things as heroes.
 
Kris: Yeah, but we're going to do some side quests. It's not always necessary to depend on one thing.
 
Brennen's expression became more aggressive.
 
Brennen: But I want to fight some mobs! Like we did in Redstonia!
 
Then his sister told him in a cold voice.
 
Frieren: Brennen, this is my last warning...
 
Brennen: Sorry, sis'...
 
Kris: Enough babbling around! Did you guys finish collecting resources?
 
Eren and Stein: Done!
 
Frieren and Brennen: We're also done!
 
Kris: Then let's go. Maybe we could find more unknown places here.
 
They all begin to leave the Warped Forest and head to another place. As they walk across the nether, Frieren finds something in the distance and points it out.
 
Frieren: Look! Everyone! We should check it over there!
 
Frieren leads the way while everyone is following her. The place they visited is full of spiked basalts, blackstone, magma blocks, and a terrace full of lava.
 
Frieren: Be careful, everyone. We don't want to be caught on fire or fall into lava.
 
Kris: It looks like we're in the Basalt Deltas. This place looks like a volcano, but instead of a hill, the inside is lava. The floor is full of puddles of lava.
 
Eren: Look, what I've found! We got Blackstone!
 
Brennen: Blackstone? What kind of rock is that?
 
Eren: It's just a rock that has the color black, Brennen...
 
As they mined the blocks, Brennen heard the sounds of a slime.
 
Brennen: Guys! I think I hear slime jumping!
 
Frieren: You're kidding, right, Brennen?
 
One of the slimes jumped on Stein, and luckily he blocked it, but he felt the burns on his clothes.
 
Stein: AH! It burns!
 
Brennen: That's no ordinary slime! It has lava! I guess I have to take you down, buddy. Hyaa!!
 
Brennen used his axe to slice the magma cubes, but the magma cubes split into two, and Brennen kept slicing them until they were slayed. Then, the magma cube drops a slime ball, but it's on fire.
 
Brennen: Oh boy! I'm going to keep it!
 
One of the dying magma cubes dies on a block of Netherrack, turning it into a mysterious block full of souls.
 
Frieren: What's this? Is a sandbox full of screaming souls? Hmm, maybe we could collect this block.
 
Frieren collected the soul sand and kept it in her inventory.
 
Frieren: We're very far from the base, Kris. How can we go back fast?
 
While Kris' is thinking about what to do to get to the base as quickly as possible, Suddenly, he notices a creature that walks on lava. He then rushes down next to the lake of lava, trying to find a way to lure the creature.
 
Kris: Hmm, there's got to be a way to lure these guys.
 
Stein: What are you going to do with them? Ride them?
 
Kris: Yup!
 
Stein suddenly got surprised at Kris' idea.
 
Stein: You can't ride them!?
 
Kris pulls out an item to lure the creature, and the last item he showed was a warped fungus. Then, the creature walked towards Kris, giving its trust to him.
 
Kris: We can ride this guy back to base, guys!
