After King Alexander told Stark he wanted to revive his dead son, Stark was surprised and confused by the king's request.

Stark: What!? You can't revive the dead, your majesty!

King Alexander: Hand me the damaged grimoire.

Stark sighs and hands the grimoire to the king.

Stark: Here you go, your majesty.

The king read some of the pages, trying to find ways to bring his son back from the dead.

King Alexander: There's got to be a spell or just anything to revive my son!

As he scrolled page by page, he finally found what he needed to revive his son.

King Alexander: I think I've found it...

He found a page of the grimoire that says, "How to revive the ______.". He thought the blank parts of the grimoire said "person" and told Stark.

King Alexander: Stark, I know what we're going to do today.

Said the king that he had found a way to revive the dead, Stark sighed and refused to join.

Stark: Sire, I think you need to do that on your own.

Stark went upstairs to the hallway of the palace to get some fresh air. While Stark goes up to the turrets of the gate, Kris' colleagues are in the flower garden and still miss him after his death.

Eren: I can't believe that we lost him...

Frieren: Yeah, I can't swallow this situation...

Brennen: He's like a big brother to me...

Stein: I hope he's okay up in the Aether...

Out of the blue, Brennen questions Stein.

Brennen: What is Aether, Stein?

Stein: You see, Aether is a paradise for the dead, Brennen.

Brennen: Do you think that he will be happy up there?

Stein: Yes, Brennen.

Brennen: But what'll he do when we're down here?

Stein softly smiles and places his hand on Brennen's chest.

Stein: He's still in our hearts, Brennen. Even though he's gone, his family, his people, and his friends will remember him, including us.

Brennen hugged Stein and said to him.

Brennen: I will always remember him, Stein.

After Brennen hugged Stein, Frieren, and Eren joined in.

Eren: A warm hug makes you happy, right?

Frieren: You are right. It makes me feel better.

While the four of them hugged together to cope with their sadness over Kris' death, in the lab basement, the king was working to find a way to revive his son. He started to find some materials for what he would need to revive his son. He headed to the Nether Portal and went to his fortress. He suddenly realized that when he entered the fortress, his men became withered skeletons, and then they attacked him. His Blaze army betrayed him and didn't follow the king's orders, so he unsheathed his sword and slain his blazes and corrupted men.

King Alexander: Hmm, let's see what the grimoire says. I need four soul sands and three withered skeleton skulls. I have four soul sands and one withered skeleton skull from my son, and this is perfect. I got two withered skeleton skulls after I slayed my undead men.

The king went back to the overworld and experimented with ways to revive his son. He checked on the grimoire again, and he finally got the materials to bring his son back. He's full of excitement to revive his son, but a part of the page on how to do it is missing. So, he began experimenting all by himself. He worked for hours, days, weeks, months, and years until he finally did it.

He placed his son's skull at the center of the soul sand, forming a mob. He began to be happy that his son was coming back and responding to him.

King Alexander: Kris, you're back! It's me! Your father! I'm so glad that you're back!

But Kris' soul has been corrupted by the Nether's energy, which is covering his soul with rage and destruction. The king's son became the Wither. A three-headed monster that is capable of destroying anything in its path. After the Wither is born, it suddenly releases an explosion that destroys the palace, causing a strong earthquake. Luckily, the king survived; his hearing was muted, his vision became near, and he couldn't bear that his son had been turned into a monster. He then looked at his surroundings, seeing that his kingdom had fallen.

King Alexander: What have I done?

While the king contemplated, Stark called out to him.

Stark: YOUR MAJESTY! WE HAVE GOT TO GET OUT OF HERE!

The king snaps back and responds to him.

King Alexander: Right! Evacuate everyone now!

Guard 1: We have already evacuated, sire! Some of the people, sir! Some of them died from the explosion!

The four heroes looked at the Wither and prepared their weapons.

Eren: A monster, eh? Then fight us!

Stein: I've prepared a shield and healing spells!

Frieren: It will take more hits to take us down!

But Brennen suddenly stopped and looked into Wither's eye. He saw Kris being trapped inside and dropped his axe.

Brennen: Kris... Is it you? ...

Brennen approached the Wither, but the Wither shot out a skull projectile at Brennen, and it hit him. Brennen suddenly got a spell that decayed his body. Then Frieren shouted.

Frieren: BRENNEN!!

Then Frieren immediately grabbed Brennen and told him.

Frieren: I got you.

The king's men tried to fight the wither, but the cold mage told everyone to retreat.

Frieren: Everyone! We have to retreat! There's no way to kill it!

The guards understood Frieren's words, and everyone retreated. As they rode on the wagon, the kingdom fell and was destroyed by the Wither. In the wagon, Brennen coughed and groaned in pain. He couldn't move; otherwise, the pain would get worse, and his skin would begin to crack. His sister became so worried about him that she healed him, but it was a temporary aid.

Frieren: The effects should slow him down, right, Stein?

Stein: Yes, and let me help you heal your brother.

Stein also helped Brennen and told Frieren that something was making Brennen in pain.

Stein: I'm afraid there's something wrong with his body.

Frieren: What is it, Stein?

Stein: He has the wither effect.

To be continued.
