Chapter 6: Relationships

"Hey Natsu."

Natsu looked up from his math test over to Gray.

"What's the answer to number 16?" Gray whispered.

"Number 16? I'm only on number 2." Natsu whispered back.

"Oy!"

The boys looked back to see Erza glaring at them.

"No cheating Gray! And why are you cheating off of him?" Erza gestured to Natsu, "It's not like that sack of rocks would know any of the answers!"

"Hey!" Natsu looked offended.

"Actually she's right." Gray murmured.

"Yes, I am right. So if your going to cheat, might as well do it right."

"Got it." Gray leaned over to cheat on the guy on the other side of him.

"What? No, I already caught you though. NO CHEATING!"

"Yes ma'am!"

He went back to his work immediately. On Gray's List of Scary People, Erza had now made number one.

Up at the front of the room the teacher stood up.

"Alright class, before you leave I need to quickly discuss some details about Prom." She announced.

The room suddenly exploded with exciting murmurs.

"I can't wait!"

"Oh no, how am i gonna find a date!?"

"I already have a dress!"

"I wonder what the theme will be!"

And from Natsu, "What's a prom again?"

"Don't get too excited. It won't be for another few months. Even though, anyone willing to help with the set up; please see me after class."

Erza snorted, "As if."

The bell rang.

"Oh come on Erza, don't you have someone in mind you'd like to go with." Gray asked, wriggling his eyebrows.

"No, and if your suggesting yourself, double no." She replied.

"Ouch," Gray said as he gathered his things, "but keep dreaming, darling, I would never even think of going with you."

"Oh? Then who would you go with?" Erza asked.

Gray furrowed his eyebrows.

"Well, that's the thing, I don't know."

"Huh. Well who are you planning to go with Natsu?" Erza asked as she turned to the pink-haired boy.

"Oh, that's easy. I'm asking Lucy." He replied.

"So your going with a friend?" Gray asked.

"Who said I was doing a friend approach." Natsu smirked and walked out of the room, leaving Erza and Gray gaping.

"I didn't know Natsu actually felt that way about her." Erza muttered.

"I guess he's not as dense with his feelings as we thought."

Erza and Gray left and headed to their next class, English, which they also had together.

Erza walked in and spotted Mira already seated. She went over and sat at the desk next to her. Gray picked the seat in front of them.

"Did you guys hear about the prom?" Mira asked them excitedly.

"Oh yes we did." Gray muttered.
