Chapter 5: Jellal And His Sovereign Ways

The Girls sat at their usual table. It was month 2 of the school year.

"Hey, you guys going to the game tonight?" Lucy asked.

"What game?" Juvia replied.

"The football game of course, it's a home game so it'll be played here." Lucy answered.

"Enlighten me Lucy, why would I waste an hour of my life sitting outside watching a bunch of jocks run around in shoulder pads and tight pants." Erza retorted.

Everyone mumbled in agreement.

"Aww, come on guys. Natsu is making me go, and I don't want to be alone." Lucy whined.

"Ya, it'll be a great way to show school spirit!" Said Levy.

"Yes! Thank you Levy. At least someone has my back." Lucy exclaimed.

"But I unfortunately will not be able to attend though." Levy added.

"..."

"Why do I even try with you guys?"

"Wait, who all is on the team?" Mirajane asked.

"You know, that group of jocks that always throw footballs in class. And Natsu's group of friends of course."

"Oh?" Kinana inquired, she looked over at Natsu's table and spotted Eric. She wouldn't mind seeing him play, "I guess I'll go."

"Me too." Mirajane added, who's agreement definitely didn't have anything to do with Laxus.

"Hold up! Does Gray play?"

Lucy sighed, "Yes, Juvia."

They all covered their ears as Juvia squealed.

"Juvia must go now."

"K fine, I'll go." Levy grumbled.

"And I'm going too," Erza said, "since your all going."

Lucy fist bumbed the air.

Levy shivered on the freezing metal bleachers.

"Why did I even agree to this?"

"Because you love me, Levy." Lucy explained.

"Well I'm freezing and my love for you isn't helping."

Erza patted Levy on the back.

"Poor Levy. Me, on the other hand, am not cold. My sizzling hot good looks keep me warm." She stated matter-of-factly.

"No offense Erza but I'm not so sure-" But Erza's glare cut Levy off.

Levy looked out onto the feild. Someone had just scored a touchdown for their team. She was about to cheer until she noticed Redfox on the back of the player's jersey.

Stupid Gajeel.

She refused to cheer for him.

Several minutes another touchdown was made, this time by Natsu.

Levy cheered.

A little later, another touchdown, this time by Jellal.

The girl's screamed until their voices were hoarse.

Suddenly everyone started cheering and getting up from their seats.

"Wait, is the game over?" Mira asked.

"Sure is." Lucy replied as she hopped up and ran down to the bleachers to greet Natsu.

Erza shivered, she cursed herself for not bringing a jacket. She rubbed her hands up and down her arms a few times before following Lucy.
