Mirajane's POV
"Hmhmm..." I murmured as I reviewed my matchmaking binder.
Any free time I have, I've spent it working on my ships.
...you know, now that I talk about it, I've realized I might have a problem. And not only that, I was watching Natsu and Lucy eating lunch together. I guess you could call it stalking, but I like to believe if you have a good reason, stalking is perfectly acceptable.
My ships are my life. I'm thinking about going into it professionally. Like as a career, maybe a talk show or something where I set lonely people up with other lonely people.
Shit...what am I doing with my life?
I'm not even that good at matchmaking. My Gruvia dreams are totally ruined. Juvia doesn't even acknowledge Gray's existence anymore. Can you believe she got over him so quickly? We are talking about a girl who used to have headshots of Gray framed all over her room. And don't even ask me where she got them.
Also don't get me started on Jerza.
Can someone please tell me what their deal is? It's so obvious they are in love with each other and yet they mask their feelings with a stupid rivalry.
Kinabra actually worked out perfectly, but that's because those two aren't hard-headed, stubborn idiots.
Speaking of Kinabra, they were over in the corner of the cafeteria, sitting at one of those two-person tables while sharing a smoothie. Like yes, that's how you do it.
But I'm a little confused as to how they got a hold of a smoothie. They don't sell smoothies here. Maybe they brought it from home? But who brings a smoothie to school for lunch?
I shifted my attention to Erza, who had just walked into the lunchroom looking for a seat, she spotted the one next Lucy, smiled and stepped forward. But then she locked eyes with Jellal who was at the entrance of the lunchroom on the other side of the room. They stared at each other, then both stared at the table, then back at each other.
A silent message was passed and they both dashed forward, rushing to get to the table before the other. Jellal ditched his always gentleman ways and pushed girls out of his way as he ran as fast as he could. Erza yelled a warrior cry and everyone immediately got out of her way. And those who were too slow were shoved back with unnatural force.
...the nurse's office will be busy today.
Erza and Jellal slammed down their food on the table at the same time probably giving Natsu and Lucy heart attacks.
"I win." Jellal announced.
"No way, Princess! I got here like a second before you!" Erza insisted.
"Princess?! Excuse me but-"
As they continued to argue, Natsu and Lucy tried to slowly scoot away.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Erza asked when she noticed them.
Lucy put her hands up defensively, "No where!"
They all settled down and started eating. Jellal and Erza kept checking each other out when the other wasn't looking. But whenever they caught eyes, they would glare daggers.
A facepalm is an understatement of how I felt.
This was absolutely ridiculous.
I decided to fix this matchmaking disaster, my group and the boy's group were going on a date.
A movie date.
*cue evil planning music*
The ships I was most worried about right now were Jerza, Gruvia, and NaLu.
