Juvia's POV
The wind ruffled my hair as I sat on the cold bench. It was nice out, as nice as it could be in winter, at least. I shivered the tiniest bit.
"Oh shoot, are you cold?" Lyon asked from beside me.
We were both out here, just hanging out I guess. As I've got to know him over the past few weeks, I've found out Lyon is actually pretty awesome.
"Of course not." I replied hitting his arm playfully.
He has this weird thing where he never gets cold, and I like to see how long I can last being outside in freezing weather with him.
"No, I can see that your cold." Lyon said, "Just admit it, you just can't keep up with me."
"Oh come on," I threw my hands up in defeat, "Lyon must get cold at some point!"
"Nah, the cold never bothered me anyway."
He smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"Lyon will never be as posh as Queen Elsa." I teased.
"Harsh,"
I laughed.
Lyon was fun to hang out with. It was fun having a guy friend around.
The wind picked up again and I couldn't stop from shivering uncontrollably. Lyon looked at me with concern then reached into his bag and pulled out a jacket. He draped the jacket around me then rested his arm on my shoulder, pulling me close.
"Are you warm now?" He asked softly.
The whole atmosphere changed. I looked at Lyon to see him gazing lovely at me. Alarms started to go off in my head.
Oh no, no, no, no.
Lyon started to lean in and I shifted ever so slightly away as to not offend him in any way.
He was getting closer, a smile played on his lips.
Please no-
Too late, his lips were planted firmly on mine now.
His arms came around to my back. He didn't do anything pervy, thank God, Lyon was respectful.
As gently as I could I pushed him away.
"What?" He asked, still smiling.
Alright, delicate, Juvia. Delicate but firm.
"I don't like you. I have feelings for Gray-sama." I stated as blunt as ever.
Shit.
Lyon's whole face fell and he quickly took his arms away from me.
I felt like a jerk. But as of this moment, I was in love with Gray-sama, not Lyon.
"I d-didn't, I mean, I-I am so sorry Juvia." He stamered and shot up off the bench.
"Wait Lyon!" I called, but he was already gone.
I gazed up at the frost covered trees and tried not to cry. I never really wanted to hurt him. I felt like this was one of those movies where the main character has to chose the boy.
Someone I didn't love at all but treated me right, over someone I loved who treated me like shit.
The answer should have been Lyon, but damn, I can't get over Gray-sama.
Out of nowhere something plopped on my cheek. More drops followed and pretty soon I was sitting in a downpour.
Of. Freaking. Course.
