Chapter 23

Lucy's POV

I watched as Gray stormed out of the theater. Juvia sunk into her seat with a sigh.

I didn't have time to wonder what happened because Natsu kept stealing all my popcorn.

"Hey! Stop it, I paid for this!" I scolded, slapping the top of his head.

He smiled, "Sorry Princess."

He was trying to get me to forget about his wrong-doings cute pet names...and it almost worked.

I heard shuffling behind me, I turned around to see Cobra and Kinana kissing. Natsu turned around as well but quickly faced back forward, his face was extremely red.

Jeez, what was the big deal? It was so cute!

I turned to Mira to point the couple out to her but she was already on it with her camera, snapping away.

It almost seemed undeniably creepy, but then I remembered it was Mirajane, almost everything she did was creepy.

I noticed Laxus who was beside her. He was embarrassingly covering his face from the people sitting around them who were giving Mira weird looks.

I don't even think your allowed to have a camera in a movie theater, honestly.

Earlier ~ Eric's POV

I looked over at Kinana, trying to decided if I should put my arm around her. I mean we were dating I guess but the only thing we've done was kiss that one time in the library.

I could hear Elfman screaming at me in my head, "Be a man Cobra, BE A MAN."

So that's what I did, I risked it all and put my arm around the cute little ray of sunshine.

I tensed, wondering what she would do. Hit me? Call me a pervert? Or the worse possible thing, would say she didn't like me anymore?

She ended up responding by leaning her head on my shoulder and sighing contently.

Okay so maybe I was overthinking this just a bit.

I looked down at her face and studied it like the creeper I am. I usually don't like girls at all, they can be so annoying. Nobody knows what the deal is with the female mind.

This one girl in my Bio class literally said to me today,

"Omg Cobra you are so sexy. Like, OMG hot af. *shrill laughter* You should totally come over sometime and I'll, like, totally show you a good time *wink*"

I proudly told her I had a girlfriend and pointedly told her she was a whore, except I said that last part in my head because, guess what, I'm a nice guy.

I really hate that chick though.

Wait- should I be calling Kinana my girlfriend? Would she be okay with that? God dammit, we haven't talked about this yet.

I worriedly looked down at Kinana. She must have noticed because she looked up at me and smiled. Her hand reached up and started playing with my hair.

My body went tense and my heart started beating a wild, uneven pace. I knew my eye must be flashing some crazy ass color.

I wanted to touch her like he was touching me, but I couldn't move.

She made me nervous.

She must of thought my lack of response discouraging because she took her hand away embarrassingly. She looked a little mortified.

Oops, I blew that one.

Kinana pressed her lips together and looked down at the floor awkwardly. 

I quickly grabbed her hand and brought it to my chest.

"Sorry." I mumbled before bringing her face to my own. Her lips met halfway with mine and her hands traveled up to my hair. My skin tingled everywhere she touched and her body pressed up to mine as we kissed.

I had to pause for second to shove the stupid cup holder out of the way so I could grab her waist.

My brain went fuzzy and all I could register was Kinana, the fact that she was in my arms, and that I never  wanted to let go.

I didn't even notice Mira taking pictures of us.

Things were getting heated and I totally forgot we were in public until I faintly heard Juvia muttering darkly, "Jesus Christ, get a room."

I immediately pulled away with my face insanely red.

Juvia rolled her eyes.

Natsu elbowed her and raised an eyebrow.

"Come on, don't act all disgusted. You would be doing the same to Gray if he hadn't walked out on you." He badgered.

Juvia's fists clenched and she blinked rapidly, increasingly looking more agitated. 

"What I heck have I done?" She muttered darkly before slamming her fist down and standing up abruptly, moving down the aisle pushing away anything and everything in her away.

Her mood was almost tangible enough that her anger surrounded her like a cloud.

Natsu looked around confused as Juvia stormed out of the theater, "Did I say something?"
