Kinana's POV

I wrung my hands nervously as I headed to the library.

Eric had asked me to study with him today, so here I was, mentally breaking down as I went on my way.

I wore a cute outfit today for him. Pale green tank with a grey jean jacket over it, and a black skirt with grey combat boots. Wasn't it silly I got up this morning and thought of only what he would think of my appearance? The impact he has had on me is crazy.

The blue lockers whizzed by as Eric's face played over in my mind. I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about, but whenever he smiles at me I feel like my heart is going to explode into millions of rainbows.

I pushed open the library door and spotted Eric standing in a corner. He came over and took my wrist, leading me to a table between two bookcases. We sat down and got out our books. I got a immense happy feeling being here with him, and from where we were, nobody could see us.

Eric starting writing in the study guide. I sat and watched him like the creepy person I am.

"Your different, Kinana."

I was a bit startled by his sudden statement.

"How is that?" I asked.

"I can hear th- I mean, I can read expressions, but you..." He gave me a frustrated face, "I can't pick anything up from you. Your unreadable."

For a second I didn't answer. This reminded me of Twilight.

"Well that must be annoying. If you can't know what I'm thinking." I replied, smiling playfully.

But he just ushered a content sigh.

"No...it's nice. Your my quiet mystery."

My face heated up, the way he said it was...lustful I guess.

"Is it true you were in coma?" Eric asked.

I just stared at my pencil. This topic of conversation was uncomfortable for me.

"Um, yes." I mumbled.

"Is that why you didn't have any friends when you came here?"

Okay that was a little rude.

"Well yes, but I came out of my coma awhile before that. I'm just not good at making friends, like, at all." I said, a little angry that he had brought up how anti-social I was.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that." He said quietly.

"No it's okay, I just..." I sighed deeply, "it was hard."

I suddenly wondered if this was how everyone viewed me. A sorry little girl who was in a coma for four years and can't get any friends. But it's different now, I have friends now. My five wonderful friends. Before that I didn't have anyone, then I met Juvia. We were kind of the quiet, anti-social girls people didn't talk too. Nobody gave us a second glance.

I quickly turned away when tears started to form in my eyes.

Oh my gosh, Kinana, get it together.

Just thinking about it made more tears fall, and I choked back a soft sob.

"Kinana..."

I didn't listen.

I was embarrassed, angry, and sad. Wasn't this is great way to act in front of my crush?

Oh yes.

*note that sarcasm*

I got up from the chair and and attempted to get the heck out of there.
