Chapter 27

This takes place on the same night as the previous chapter

Naomi P.O.V

I heard a loud knock but I ignored it and snuggled into Carter. I didn't want to wake up just yet but the knocking got louder.

"Shut the fuck up." Carter whispered. I lifted my head and saw the rest of the group looking at us.

I roll the window down and yawn. "Are we going back to Christopher's?" I asked stretching my arms. "How would you feel about a party?" Stacy asked.

My eyes opened wide and now I was fully awake. "Like a small get-together?" I asked hoping that's what she meant but all I got were heads shaking no.

"Like most if not the whole student body at one house with loud music, drinking, and tons of smoking." Toby answers. "Oh."

I've obviously never been to a high school party or any party. I've never even experienced a birthday party.

"Alright then let's go." I want to try and be open to new things that they do. Going to football games and parties is something my friends do and I wanna try too.

"Are you sure we can drop you off or we can all go back to my place."

"Yeah you've already gone over your comfort zone for the game." Stacy said and she's right but I know they want to go to this party and I don't want to be the reason they don't go.

"I'm sure this is my last year and I'd love to attend my first party."

Christopher, Stacy, and Toby drive off and we follow them. "You know we don't have to go."

"It's fine Carter I want to." I said but in my head, I was trying to calm myself down. My fingers kept fidgeting.

When we got there I was surprised. I saw multiple couples outside making out, and people with bottles of alcohol, and the music was so loud I heard it in the car.

Carter opens my door and grabs my hand. "Thank you." Neither of us let go even after we all walked into the house.

"Naomi if you get overwhelmed tell one of us and we'll all leave." Toby tells me and I nod.

At first, all of us were together but slowly we started to lose people.

Stacy being the social butterfly she is was the first one to go. Then Toby was called over by his football buddies and then Christopher got cornered by a bunch of girls and a few guys.

Right now I and Carter were just sitting on a couch, he was drinking but all I had was water.

"Wanna go somewhere quiet?" I look at Carter and nod. We get up and walk upstairs. Carter pulls me into a random room and turns on the light.

It was someone's bedroom. Carter locks the door and we sit in the floor. "So how's your first party going." I shrug. "Not as fun or eventful as they make it seem in the movies and shows."

He chuckles before he pulls out a bottle of alcohol, I don't know what kind. "Want some?"

So I'm pretty sure anyone who has been keeping up will guess that I've never had alcohol and be completely right.

"I've never had any before." I say looking away.

"It's cool, here." After downing the drink from earlier he gives me his cup. Carter pours some liquor in the cup not much just a little.

"Try it." I look at the cup and then back at him before I take a small sip. I couldn't help but make a face. I hear Carter laughing.

"Doesn't taste good?" I shake my head no. "I thought it would taste better."

"It starts to taste better when you've had more because by then you're too drunk to notice the taste."

Oh, I wonder if that's true. I keep taking little sips till I'm down. My throat doesn't burn like I've heard but my stomach is starting to feel warm.

We kept drinking Carter gave me a little bit more every time till the bottle was empty. "I'm gonna get more be right back." I nod and wait.

He comes back not too long after and we continue to drink. My head is starting to get fuzzy.

Carter is starting to act a little different, he's way more talkative.

"Cater can I tell you a secret?" I ask my words starting to slur. "Yes tell me all your secrets." He whispers.

"Me and Christopher kissed." I said and he put his hand over his mouth dramatically. "Really before me."

"I don't think I did a good job at it though he sounded disappointed after." I poured myself a drink.

"I'm sure you did amazing. Can I kiss you?" I look at him. "I don't know what I'm doing."

"That's fine I'll take the lead and you follow." He leans in and gives me a peak and then another and after his lips are mine for much longer.

I did exactly as he said and followed his lead. He pulled me in closer and I put my arms around his neck.

We pull away and look at each other. "Christopher is dumb as hell if he didn't like kissing you."

He pulls me back into another kiss. I take a risk and I get on top of him. I've been taking a lot of risks today.

My hands start to run through his hair and he pulls me closer which feels impossible. I felt his hands move under my shirt and then I hear a knock.

"Cater are you there a few people said they saw you come upstairs." I hear Toby and more knocking.

We let go of each other and our foreheads meet. "Should we let them know we're here?" Carter whispers to me.

I giggle and shake my head. "Go get the door." I say getting off his lap. Carter opens the door and everyone comes in.

"Why is she here?" Christopher ask. "We were just talking."

"You needed two bottles of Vodka to talk." Stacy points out. "Why are you here?" I tried and get to one of the bottles but it was pulled away from me by Stacy.

"We're leaving and were looking for you two. Now someone help me with her." She tried pulling me off the ground but failed.

I went from a small laugh to nonstop giggling. We walk down the stairs and I'm put into the back of a car. I'm not sure whose car though.

Once the car started to move I got sleepy. "I can't believe we left her with Carter." 

"Yeah he gets out of control when he drinks." I try to stay awake but my eyes are getting heavy. 

I close my eyes for 5 seconds and next thing know I wake up to Toby carrying me inside. "Goodnight Naomi." He puts me down and kisses me on the forehead."Goodnight Toby." 

Sorry to anyone who was waiting for this chapter and sorry it's short. I've been busy with work so I haven't had time to work on this.
