"They can't divide us, we'll survive the test of time"

I listened to her talking about everything she did today on her first day of college

I listened to her talking about everything she did today on her first day of college. My mind urged me to hold her hand while driving like we used to. She still has feelings for me and I know it. I can sense it from her eyes and the nervousness she has and the same damn tempting cheeks which is always red whenever she is near me. She is the best thing that ever happened to me in my life. I love her, but I messed up everything we had. I still have to rectify it and I will rectify it.

After reaching home, she went to her room to freshen up and I went to mine. I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. My mind wandered to Mireya. As if she found out I was thinking about her, a message popped up in my notification to see, if it was her. I smiled and took out my phone to see her message.

"Can you come to the balcony?" I smiled and went to see her gazing at the stars. The night was calm, and the air was filled with the distant sound of crickets.

"Isn't it beautiful?" I whispered, her eyes sparkling looking at the night sky. Mireya nodded, and her smile reflected in the starlight.

"It's like the whole universe is right before us." A soft breeze rustled the leaves, and Mireya shivered.

"Are you cold?" I asked, wrapping my arms around her.

"A little," Mireya admitted, leaning into my warmth. We sat in a comfortable silence, absorbing the tranquil atmosphere. Mireya leaned against the railing, her eyes still fixed on the heavens, while I looked at her admiring the the stars shimmering above like diamonds scattered across black velvet.

Mireya turned to me in my arms, her eyes sparkling in the starlight.

"Do you ever wonder what's beyond the stars?" I reached out and took her hand, the warmth of her touch sending a shiver down my spine.

"I used to, but now I think I already found something incredible here." Even in the dim light of the night, I can sense the reddening of her cheeks as she bit her lip slightly turning away from me. Fuck, she is more beautiful. Her face was illuminated by the soft glow of the moonlight. My heart fluttered as I watched her, feeling the weight of unspoken words build up inside me.

"Don't ever hide that blush from me, Kuschelbär!" I stroked her hot reddened cheeks. I leaned my forehead against her silently enjoying her company. I badly wanted to bite her cheeks right now, but I controlled myself. Not now, I said to myself, I needed to take baby steps with her since I was the only person wrong here. I bumped my nose with her as she giggled.

"It's too cold out here. Let's go inside and cook some food. The guys will be back late at night as they are out for a party."

"Why didn't you go along with them?"

"I couldn't leave you alone." I smiled and grabbed her hands in mine as we stepped into the kitchen. I'd never been much of a cook, but for Mireya, I would do anything. The aroma of sizzling garlic and onions filled the air as I stirred the simmering sauce. Mireya sat at the kitchen counter, watching me with a smile that made my heart race. She always has that effect on me.
