I regretted why I agreed to go on shopping with them. They are purchasing as girls do for hours.
"How much are you both going to purchase?" I whined for the nth time and they are not leaving me. I sat on the sofa as they continued searching for a dress.
"We are not even half away done, Violet. Come and help me with selecting." Adam called me handing me the shirt for me to select. I groaned as I had no choice but to select it for them.
"I'm going to divorce you both!" I grunted as they laughed out at my comment.
"Well, we both can marry and then get a divorce." Adam chuckled as I narrowed my eyes at them which probably looks like a little cat glaring at them.
"I'm going to try this!" Alex picked up one of the shirts and went to the changing rooms while I and Adam are still confused about what to choose.
"I think black will go hot on you!" I came to a decision since he was confused between purple and black color. I scratched my chin and said again,
"Purple will look cute on you!" He glared at me as I gave him a sheepish smile.
"Adam!" Another female voice which I didn't hear of anything called him, but Adam beside me didn't turn or not even said anything. He just stood there pinching his eyes shut as if he was controlling himself. He clenched his fists tightly as I unconsciously wrapped my hands around his squeezing them lightly. He looked up at me with the most vulnerable look I had ever seen in his eyes. His eyes held the pain and vulnerability for love and I don't know. I asked him if he is okay or not through my eyes as he nodded inhaling and exhaling a bit.
"Adam! Is that you?" I looked at the girl who is the same age as Adam. She was beautiful or maybe more beautiful. But I don't think she is a good person. She glared at me and Adam as we were holding our hands.
"And you are?" I asked because Adam was not in the state to talk or even reply. I'm worried about him. What did the girl do to make him sad this much?
"I'm Emma, Adam's girlfriend." Adam's eyes snapped to her with so much rage.
"Who the fuck is your boyfriend!" Adam's eyes turned red as he gritted his teeth.
"Adam! Don't say something like that. I gave the time you asked and now I came back for good. I did nothing wrong. It was a mistake!" She was about to grab his hand but Adam shoved it away.
"Came back good huh! Fucking fantastic! You said it was a mistake right, what if I did the same thing when we are in a relationship? Would you be able to tolerate it? Fuck yeah! you would have because you are nothing but an attention seeker or should I say bitch!" I never saw Adam talk with so much anger and pain in his voice. His eyes watered and it pained to see my best friend like that. His hands were shaking in rage or unbearable pain both were mixed emotions.
