We tend the realize the value of someone only when they are no more a part of our lives and I am no exception to this rule.

I was confident that if I tried hard, Ian would let me back into his life but was wrong, so wrong.

It's been a couple of months and I tried everything that I could to get back to him but he shut every door that I tried to open.

With every passing day, he was turning into a cold and an unknown person to me, but I too am not going to give up that easily.

Not this time.

I was so lost in my thought that I failed to realise that we had already reached the destination and it was time to put my plan into action.

I grin thinking about the things that are going to happen in a few hours.

Ian's mansion stood proudly before me, I turned towards my right to find Blaze's intense gaze on me.

"If I end up dying today know that it's on you!"  Blaze threw a sarcastic remark.

"Ah, come on man! Don't be such a crybaby, behave like a man and I must give the credit to your pep talk that encouraged me to peruse him," I hop out excited to see my man.

"Hello!" I greeted the security guard and made my way towards the main door and I knew Blaze was right behind me. I could hear him groan multiple times but I just shrugged it off.

The doors were opened and a very familiar scent hit my nostrils, it felt like I'd come back to my home after ages.

I take small steps looking around absorbing everything and not a single thing has changed.

All of a sudden, I felt someone's hand on my shoulder and just like that, my heart went crazy making it hard to breathe. I slowly turned towards the source holding my breath.

Could it be him?

This question was followed by a prayer.

Please, God, let it be him.

My eyes were met with disappointment.

It was Blaze.

"Bitch," scowled and flung my handbag towards him and it landed right on his elbow which made him let out a scream.

"Ouch!!" He screamed.

I was going to punch him but stopped when I heard him.

"What the fuck is going on here?"  I heard his firm voice.

And once again my heart went boom boom.

Since he was standing on the staircase my eyes first landed on his feet slowly making its way towards his handsome face and I just melted right there.

His eyes lingered on me for a few seconds before he looked away leaving me with dissatisfaction.

The sound of his flip-flops clicking against the marble echoed across as he walked towards us.

Soon he was standing right before me, I was so nervous that I could have collapsed.

The Ian effect

His hands were shoved inside his pocket and I could tell that his eyes were fixed on me. And there he was, standing right before me.

God! How can someone be so handsome?

Without giving a second thought I took a step forward wrapping my hands around his neck.

The force was enough to make him stumble a few steps back but my man was strong enough to recover himself in a split second.
