We are at the amusement park, strolling through different gamings, food court, and dangerously daring rides. We decided to come here to take a break and clear our minds before our finals. It was also an excellent opportunity for Lilly, to get her mind out of that bastard.
Lilly and Emily kept pestering me to join them as they were going to try the 'Soarin' Eagle' which was way to adventurous and daring for me. So, I clearly refused them threatening that I'll just leave if they wouldn't stop pursuing me to go with them.
They sighed giving up on me and walked away towards their ride after informing me to wait for them near one of the stalls.
I took the opportunity to notice my surrounding as I kept walking. Then, something caught my attention.
A guy, probably in his late twenties, and a girl around thirteen to fourteen years of age were quarreling about something.
Curiosity got the best out of me, so I casually walked towards them, pretending to use my phone. I kept my eyes fixed on my screen with my ears wide open.
The wise part of me warned me not to do this. But the mischievous part convinced me that nothing will happen. I decided to listen to the latter.
After a few minutes of eavesdropping, I found out that the guy was unable to win the fluffy red teddy bear, she asked as her birthday gift.
He tried to convince her by saying that he would fill her room with teddy bears if she wants. She looked disappointed but ended up nodding her head.
How boring, I mean where's the fun in buying something when we can actually win them for free of cost. That's more challenging and fun, rather than buying them. Right?
An evil plan formed in my head.
'Let's have some fun now, shall we?'
I walked towards their direction and cleared my throat to gain their attention, as I obviously didn't know their names. Both their heads snap towards my direction and held a confused and questioning look on them.
I directly looked at the girl "You want that bear, don't you?" I ask her even though, I exactly know that's what she wants.
She was silent for a few seconds but nodded her head with a shy smile.
"Cool. Consider it to be yours. "I say to her. Both of them shared a look with each other, probably thinking why a stranger out of blue appeared and is now interfering in their matter.
"Really?"
"Yup," I say popping the 'p'.
"Excuse me." The man decides to butt in. "First of all, you overheard our private conversation. You do know it's a breach of privacy and it's punishable, right?" He states the fact.
It's true that I can be punished for violating their privacy. But come on, I didn't steal any secretive information that I shouldn't. It's after all a casual talk about a teddy bear. Right?
"Secondly, you came out of nowhere and pretend to help. How can I trust you? Who knows, you could be a psychopath stalker for all I know or even a killer for that matter."
Huh. What the hell, I'm here to help and he's accusing me of being a psycho. Great. I deserve this.
'I should have listened to you.' I say to my wise side that warned me.
But this jerk was still not done with his accusation. "Thank you, for your offer but we don't need anything, especially from a stranger like you. Now if you'll excuse us." He turned towards the girl, took hold of her wrist, and started dragging her.
'Rude.'
"Are you scared that I'll win her that bear that you couldn't. Will that hurt your ego?" I deliberately challenge him.
They both paused mid-track and turn towards me. He released her hand and made his way towards me.
"Listen, Miss, whoever you are, I don't really have the patience and time to deal with you. So if you trying to impress me, you're wasting your time and energy." He said, in a very irritated tone.
Ohh so, he thinks that I'm doing all this to impress him. But he's mistaken. I have a boyfriend who's a thousand times more handsome than him.
'Liar.'
Okay-Okay I agree, maybe a little less than him but still, my Liam is hot as the burning sun.
I forced out a humorless laugh,"Who are you? The president or the owner of this park, who I will try to impress to get free food and tickets." I mock him. "I have no interest in you, my lord."
He was glaring at me all this while."Who does think you are? You have no idea who you are talking to. And as of being the owner of this park, I a-...He was unable to complete what he was saying, as the little girl who was silent all this while decided to interfere.
"Ohh please, let her Ian. It's my birthday and you promised to do whatever I ask you to." She pleaded to him.
'So he shares his name with that bastard who threatened and broke Lilly's heart, huh. I already hate him.'
He glanced at her and then turned towards me and shot me a look as though saying 'You are so gonna regret doing this.' I roll my eyes and tap my foot impatiently. It's just a game why can't he just agree.
All of a sudden his lips twitched upward a bit, as though some evil plan is forming in his head.
"Fine, but only on one condition. If you win you can do whatever you want, but if you lose, you will have to write one hundred apology note to me for your rude behavior, that too addressing me as My Lord."
"What the hell. Noo!" I almost yell. There's no way I'm calling him my lord, he must have noticed me mocking him using the word my lord.
"Are you scared now?" He asked me. Shit, I can't even back off now.
"Fine, If I lose I'll do as you say, but if I win you will have to write two hundred instead of a hundred note addressing me as My Lady Deal?"
He didn't say anything at the only stared at me for a few seconds but finally ended up agreeing.
"Okay."
Well, this is what we call 'deal with the devil.'
