'Our last journey together.'

The disappearing trees behind lulled me to sleep and I close my eyes unwillingly inhaling the cold wind that soothed me.

A sudden change in the scent around disturbed me and I force myself to have a look around.

I look around stunned by the blushing red tulips standing proudly. I quickly turn my gaze towards Ian who slowly brought the car to halt.

"Where are we? I bet this is not where my flight awaits me, where have to brought me?" I asked.

He calmly unbuckled himself and walked towards my side unlocking the door.

"Get down,"

"No, you better get inside and take me to the Airport, Kiara and others would their way towards the Airport, Ian!
Understand."

"I know we have enough time until your flight takes off," He said not giving a fuck to my words.

He paused scrunching down and moving a little closer to me, "trust me and take my hand, I will ensure you board your flight on time."

I let out a deep breath claiming myself and stepped taking his warm hand, I smiled at the flowed that danced beautifully as the wind brushed past it.

We walked up the stairs that in turn led to the main doorway to a house at the center, the door was carved with a different structure portraying different stories.

"Where are we?" I asked letting my shoulder loose in despair before he could answer I was pushed back by a sudden force that almost shoved me down to the ground.

Ian held my shoulder providing me the balance I needed, his eyes filled with worry for a few seconds, I can tell that.

"Raine?"

A sweet baby voice forced me to look down towards the source, a little human hugged my right leg looking at me with doe eyes.

I look back at Ian, who carried his usual calmness.

"Hey little one," I said, scrunching down towards the little boy dressed in bright yellow T and blue shorts, he smiled brightly.

"Do you know me?" I blinked when he softly poked his index finger into my cheek nodding his head with a shy smile. He ran off soon after and I stood up straight facing the man who can solve all my questions.

"Where are we?" I asked, he ushered me forward.

"First, I want you to meet a few people and then I will answer your questions." He said, with hands around my shoulder.

Soft echoes of my comfort song 'Winter Bear' hit my ears that made the hairs in my hand stand up.

But a bigger surprise awaited me.

Portrait

My portrait

There was a huge picture of mine in a room that resembled the living area covering almost an entire wall, I walk to towards it blindly and caressed it softly.

I looked so different in that picture. My hair long hair that I lost with a bright smile that disappeared into the dark.

His hand darted forward slowly touching the cheeks on the smiling brightly in the portrait.

I lean back on the wall for support, I was already emotionally drained and this was my breaking point.

"What is this?"

"It's present,"

"Present?"

"Yes," He enclosed his hand around mine.
