"Ian," I whimper in a tone so low that only I could hear extending my arms for him, but my call reached him, he heard me as his head immediately whirled and that's when his eyes met mine.
"Ian," I call out once again urging him to come and take me into his arms.
The floor creaked as he pulled himself up rushing towards me, I tripped over the shiny floor when I tried reaching him, but Ian just like any other time held me when fell, his right hand went behind my back and the other one in my arm.
"Raine," He cupped my face raking his eyes all over me. "Raine, are you hurt? Are you in pain?" He said abruptly checked my hand where there was bleeding, his concerned voice echoed against her big hall.
I slide his hand away and forced myself into him encircling my hand around his neck that made him stumble a few steps but he recovered and lifts me off the ground pulling me into him just the way I wanted.
"No, Ian..No..." I say repeatedly resting my head on the crook of his neck with eyes clenched, relishing this feeling of being in his arms, I pulled back after a few seconds enveloping his face into my palms taking in a few seconds to persuade myself that he was real, that I'm not hallucinating, that he was the one I was searching for all this while.
An instant wave of electricity and a huge dose of happiness surged through when he held his lukewarm finger on my face, it was like his fingers were dancing holding my cheek as he rubbed it back and forth looking down at me with his mesmerizing eyes.
"Raine, why the hell are you here? Fuck me for bringing you here, I'm taking you back to the hospital, fucking come with me!" He sounded annoyed with himself and his decision, our faces were in each other's hands holding different emotions for the other, eyes blending into one another, I was able to feel every bit of it, I pulled him back
"It's you," I quivered, and yet there was this unavoidable smile. No words would do justice to what I feel right now, all I could do was smile and weep at the same time and it was overwhelming to bear this was something beyond my capability.
"It's you,"
"It's you," I say softly once again, I buried my face in his chest unable to utter any more words.
"You need to calm down," He rubbed the back of my head, I lift my gaze to find him glaring at something behind me, and I know it was Tina. I positioned his face down drawing his attention back to me showing my disapproval.
He threw a pointed look towards her after which he carefully brought me to the open space.
"Sit, I'll be back," He helped me to settle on the bench, I caged my face in-between my palms muffled into a complicated web of emotion.
From my understanding from what Tina said, the only reason he showed up today is because the cops wanted my testimony relating to the accident that Ian was postponing for all this while and he wanted to prepare me and everyone knew this part from me.
A hot hand curled itself around my wrist peeling my palms off my face, my cheeks stung as the cold wind touched my wet and sticky face.
I followed every movement of the man before me as he scrunched down holding my wrist, one of his toes where pressed on the ground as he balanced himself with the other one.
"Drink this," He said, bringing the transparent bottle of water near my lip, I fall on my knees shoving the bottle immersing him into me with a tight hug.
"I know Ian, I know everything," I whimpered holding him, the water from the bottle that fell drenched our knees.
I breathe in and out trying to process everything as Tina's words echoed again and again.
