I was greeted by the cold air his AC was emitting when I lay my foot inside sending shivers down my spine.
I look around his chic, sophisticated grey themed cabin in amazement, it was designed elegantly with a huge glass window giving a spectacular view of the city, with the company's logo placed right in the middle of the glass, that is an 'L' with lush green leaves flying away.
A smile graced my face when I notice a statue of Buddha, giving it a peacefully look with a bookshelf on the right side. All of this combined with the pleasant smell of Wisteria was giving me a very warm welcome.
My lips that were twitched upwards all these while automatically fell down when I catch a glimpse of him, who was seated on the couch instead of his chair with his legs crossed, looking at me intently whilst twirling his paperweight crystal with a smirk plastered on his face.
"Good afternoon, Sir." I greet him professionally with a light sugar-coated smile.
He eyed my suspiciously lacing his brows together, I wait for him to say something but he didn't.
"You asked for me, Mr. Longwood?"
"Yes, Miss. Ashton." He replied, while walking towards his table, and rummaged through his lockers in search of something.
He slides a navy blue Pendrive towards me, I march forward picking it up.
"What do you want me to do with this?" I asked him in a confused state.
"Miss Ashton, I have a very important meeting this evening. So I want you to go through those files, and prepare a presentation, submit it before four." He explained and leaned back comfortably entwining his fingers while staring at me.
"No offense sir, but don't you think it's your assistant's work," I ask him sweetly with an innocent expression.
"Now Miss Ashton, should I learn from you how to do my work?" He replied in a matter of fact tone but his eyes had a devilish twinkle in them.
My face drops due to my failed trick, "Sir, I have my work too, how can I complete both the work simultaneously?" I plead him.
"That's your problem so you have to deal with it, I don't pay you to swing your legs and sit leisurely here, do I?" He questions statistically with a stupid smirk playing on his lips.
I stare at him without any emotion, as anger bubbles inside me.
'Damn you, jerk.'
There was a knock on the door, and his assistant walks in.
"Your coffee, sir." She announced and placed it on the table, and I choke on my own saliva when my eyes land on his coffee cup, as I recollected events from that day.
"What's so funny Miss. Ashton." He asks while narrowing his eyes, and I had to bite my inner cheeks to stop my self from smirking.
I nod my head biting my lips.
"You can leave, come back when you're done." He says dismissively, I let out a soft breath giving up, as I got the cue that he wouldn't change his decision.

I literally threw the Pendrive on my table once I reach my cubical, crossing my hands across my chest irked.
If all the chaos that already surrounded me wasn't plentiful, he joined the club to make it more disastrous for me.
"Ugg," I pull my hair in frustration while glancing at the horologe, I only have four more hours, and all I want to do was coop up and cry my heart out.
