The little girl squealed in excitement. She neared me, wrapped her hand around mine, and dragged me with her. "Let's go." I gave her a nod.

"As far as I know, I've never seen anyone talking to him the way you did, not even my dad, and let's not forget the way you mocked him 'my lord'." She laughed.

I couldn't help but chuckle. I looked over my shoulder, he was quietly following us like a lost puppy.

"As the saying goes, there's always a first in everything, dear." I wink at her. "Maybe, I'm meant to be his."  It took me a few seconds to realize what I said, so I quickly corrected it. "What I meant is, I'm his first in this matter." 

"I guess so." She grinned at me, showing her perfectly polished teeth.

"Yeah," I exhaled heavily, cheers to her young and tender mind, she didn't realize what those words meant or maybe she just chooses to ignore.

"I'm assuming that you know the rules, three balls, and three cans."

"Yep."

'Come on, Bri. Let's show him who we are.'

I took the first ball, inhaled a deep breath, and fixed my eyes on my target.

One, two, and three. I threw the ball towards my target, six cans were out of my way only four were remaining.

I took the second ball and threw it, to my luck it hit only one. Three more to go.

"Oh no. You only have one more chance." She said.

I took the last ball, silently pleading it to knock off the remaining cans.

"Bull's eye" I shout on top of my voice. All the cans were lying on the floor. I did a victory dance and hugged the girl.

"Fuck." I could hear him cuss, it was almost like a whisper.

"You did it." She squeals, I chose the red human-sized teddy bear which she wanted, as my reward and handed her birthday gift to her. "Happy birthday, little one." I kissed the crown of her head.

At times like this, I wish I had a family. A father who will spoil me, a mom who will feed me her delicious food, a sister with whom I can fight, share clothes and all my secrets, a brother who will be protective and possessive. A family with whom I can celebrate my birthday, Christmas, Thanksgiving. But I have non.

I struggle to keep my tears from falling.

I was brought back to reality when I felt someone strangling me by my shoulder. I turned towards the person. It was the little girl.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, blinking back the tears and gave her a small smile.

"Let's go, I don't have all day." His tone was ice cold.

What the fuck. Is this what I get for winning, did he forgot about the deal we made. Looks like someone needs a reminder.

I walked towards him and stood on tip of toes, brought my face towards his left ear, "Your lady is expecting her apology note, don't let her wait." I whispered huskily and moved away from him, he just stood rooted to the ground without giving me any reaction.

Just then it hit me. Lilly, Emily, and Eagle ride, oh god they are gonna kill me for making them wait.

I turned towards the girl. "I'll take your leave, now. My friends would be expecting me."

"Okay, by the way. I'm Bianca."

"It was nice meeting you Bianca, and you can call me, Bri." I say to her and started walking but stopped when I heard his voice.

"What's your name?"

I turned towards him with a smirk, "now-now, it's my lady for you." I gave him a wink and walked away without turning back.

'Well, the risk was all worth it'

I reached our meeting point and was greeted by two enraged women. When they caught the sight of me, they gave me a look saying 'you are so dead today.'

I smiled innocently.

"What the fuck Ashley, where the hell we're you. We've been searching for you for the past twenty minutes. Do you have any idea how tensed we were? We thought you left, goddammit." Emily started blabbering. I was happy that at least Lilly didn't show her anger right away.

"Chill now, I'm here, I didn't leave you guys," I say to her. I know she's not convinced, so I decided to use my weapon against her. "Okay, angry bird, how about I treat you with your favorite, Buttermilk southern fried chicken."

She stared at me for a few seconds before nodding her head "But, I'm not paying." She gave me a piece of information that I was already aware of. 

"Of course, your not," I said in a very bored tone.

"You do know how to convince her, don't you?" Lilly whispered while walking beside me.

"That, I do." I didn't tell them about the fun I had, as it will only enrage Emily more than she already is and I don't wanna face her wrath, she can be a bitch sometimes.

We started walking towards our next destination, filled our tummy while gossiping about everything and anything.

After our fun-filled day, we directly dropped by our NGO and paid the kids and Kiara a visit.

The moment she saw me, she crawled towards me and held out her hand for me to pick her up. I picked and twirled around, her laughter was like music to my ears.

"Did you miss, Mumma?" I ask her.

She just clung on to me like a Koala Bear, burying her face into my neck.

"Hmm. I take that as a yes baby girl. Mumma missed you too, and I missed you too brats." I say to other kids.

"I'm assuming that you guys had lots of fun today." It was Gia.

"Of course, actually I enjoyed more than I expected," I say to her. My mind went straight back to Bianca and her devil for a brother.

"Good to hear dear, you deserve a break." She said to me.

"Of course she would enjoy, after all, who was her company for the day," Lilly said and picked Kiara from me.

"Yeah." It was Emily this time.

I wanted to give them a comeback, but couldn't as my phone starts to ring.

Just like ever time, my heartbeat increases. I can never get enough of him. It was Liam.

"Buttercup." He sounded a bit dull, maybe he's tired from all the work he does nowadays.

"Hi, Lee. I missed you."

"Missed you too, baby. How was your day, did you enjoy? " He asked.

"A lot Lee, I wish you were there."

"Me too buttercup, I have some work now, have your dinner and call me when you reach home. I know you are with Kiara, kiss her on behalf of me. I love you, bye for now." Saying this he hung up. And, I could stop smiling.

"Love is in the air." Lilly sang.

"Shut up," I say to her still smiling.

I looked at the view in front of me. This is my world, Kiara, Lilly, Emily, Gia, and all my other kids.

'And of course my Liam.'

I pulled out my phone and clicked a picture. Damn, how did I get this lucky?

'Little did I know that this was the calm before the storm.'
