Bethany Smith had her innocence stolen in the very town she once called home. The memories were too much to bear, so when her sister offered an escape-a trip around Australia with her boyfriend-Beth didn't think twice about leaving it all behind.

Dan's POV This should be weird. Here I was talking to Emily about how I'm scared about moving on from her and then Beth, the girl I think I have feelings for shows up.
What are the fucking odds?
I will always love Emily, but I think I need to move on.
"Well now you're just making yourself look bad," Beth teases. "Your hugs could too."
That makes me feel warm. "Glad you feel that way," I say with a smile.
"I've started seeing a therapist," Beth tells me.
"That is great," I say.
She nods. "He suggested walking every morning and it's making me feel a lot better."
Well, that explains the bike shorts that she was currently wearing that show off her sexy curves.
"I also growled at Violet," she says. "And I told her about Emily and she said that I can have you because she doesn't have some dead girl sloppy seconds."
I scoff. "That response matches her personality."
Beth giggles. "It does."
"How come you decided to travel with her?" I ask.
"Well I needed a break from here," she answers. "And Violet has always been adventurous, so it was a very last-minute decision to leave with her."
"And was it fun?" I whisper.
"For the most part," she answers. "It was me, Violer and Grand for all of it and I tended to third wheel."
"They aren't together anymore I'm guessing?" I question.
"Grant dumped her," Beth states. "He wanted a threesome with us, but Violet told him I was too much of a frigid bitch to join."
I tense. "Jesus," I snap.
"Kev kicked her out," Beth says. "She only cares about herself."
"Sounds like it," I mutter.
We stand there for a second just looking over the graves and then I feel Beth's hand lacing through mine.
I feel like I'm in high school again, getting all giddy from her holding my hand. "You hungry?" I ask her.
She smiles. "I could eat."
We walk out of the cemetery together and I take her down to Kelly's Bar and Grill. We set up on a table outside and we both ordered double cheeseburgers and cokes.
"We've never done this before," she says.
"We haven't," I say. "We should do this more though."
"You think?"
"Yeah," I say. She smiles and looks away from me. "I don't normally do this."
"Hang out with women you haven't slept with?" She questions.
"No," I laugh. "I'm not sleeping around anymore."
"I did hear that," she whispers. "Why?"
"I got drunk and slept with Jade again," I wince. "Kind of a wake-up call."
Beth nods. "So it's been two years?"
"It honestly hasn't felt like that long," I say. "But I also woke up and realised I wanted to be in a relationship. I'm scared to love again, but I'm open to it."
"I can imagine," she murmurs.
"Here you go," the waitress says, plopping our food in front of us. "Can I get you more drinks?"
"We are good thanks," I say politely.
She walks away and Beth and I dig into our food. Beth moans in pure bliss at the first bite. My cock hardens.
Oh so now he wakes up.
Beth frowns at me. "Why aren't you eating?"
"Sorry," I say. I take a bite and see what all the hype is about. "My god," I moan.
"Right," she laughs.
Emily's hugs could make world peace, but I think Beth's laugh did the same thing.
* "You didn't have to walk me home," Beth says as we get to her front door.
"I'm a gentleman," I say. I bring our intertwined hands up and kiss hers.
She blushes. "Yes, you are."
"I know we have to take this slow," I murmur. "Whatever this is anyway."
"I agree," she says.
"But," I whisper. "I'd like to kiss you."
She bites her bottom lip. "So why don't you?"
With my other hand, I grab the nape of her neck and I pull her towards me. Our breaths were mingling and then I closed the distance, kissing her with passion.
She moans into my mouth and her hand clutches onto my hip. Our tongues tease each other, till finally I'm devouring her mouth with mine.
I pull away for breath and lean my foreheads against hers. "I haven't felt like that in a long time," I admit.
"It's never felt like that," she whispers.
We share another gut-wrenching kiss and then I watch her walk inside. I make my way back to the cemetery where my car is parked and when I get into the driver's seat I can't help the smile that takes up my face.
