Dan's POV
Two years later...
"Sorry it's not much," Cole says as we sit on his couch. Robert, Evan, Jerry, Raymond and Kev were also here.

This was my bachelor party.

Cole is my best man and he hates going places where he doesn't know people. Therefore my bachelor party is in his apartment.

"It's perfect," I tell him. "This is all I need."

I proposed to Beth at Dan's. I thought it was perfect since we met there.

"Is there going to be a stripper?" Raymond asks. "I brought cash."

"I don't like strippers," I tell him. "Not after the Vegas incident."

"What happened?" Evan asks excitedly. Cole was letting the twins have a couple of drinks tonight.

"No," Cole growls at me as I go to tell Evan.

"You no fun," I complain.

"Yeah Dad, live a little," Evan huffs.

"Fine," Cole grumbles.

"So I'm 19 and Emily decided to let Cole and I go to Vegas to have the bachelor party I never got to have," I explain. "We drink, we gamble and then we decide to hit the strip joint."

"Oh yeah," Raymond says.

"Cole buys me a lap dance," I say. "Her name was Candy and she had glitter all over. And when I mean all over, I mean all over."

"Uh oh," Evan says.

"So she does her thing, we go back to the room and pass out on the bed. I get up to puke because mixing tequila and wings was not good. I then was confused as to why there was glitter in my puke," I said. "Turns out Cole didn't tell me that when she was pressing her breasts against my face, the glitter went onto it."

"And you couldn't look at a stripper again because of that?" Evan asks.

I shrug. "I just couldn't."

"Does anybody want to hear my story, about how I got two hookers, a stripper and a sexy cop back to my bedroom?" Raymond asks.

"No," both Cole and I growl.

"I slept with a hooker once," Jerry says. "She stole my wallet."

"Seems about right," Cole mutters.

"Let's liven up this party," Raymond says. "Who wants shots?" No one says anything. "Just me, that's fine."

At the end of the night, Raymond was hammered and Cole and I put him into a dress.

We put him on the couch and he moans something about how it's cold this time of year.

Oh, he's going to be a wreck tomorrow.

I smile at the guests as I make my way up to the balloon arch. Beth wanted to get married outside and I was happy to oblige.

Happy wife, happy life they say.

"You ready man?" Cole asks.

"So ready," I answer. "I was ready a year ago, but Beth wanted to hold it off for some-" I stop mid-sentence and my eyes widen at who is sitting in the back row. "What?"

"What?" Cole questions.

"That's my mum," I murmur. "And my dad?"

Before I could do anything else, everyone was taking their seats.

The music starts playing and the twins, Hayley and Rosie walk down the aisle, throwing petals. Elle was the ring bearer since she was in a phase where she liked suits.

I don't know, I just knew that I didn't know any little boys.

Then comes Lenny, Maxine and Georgie. They all looked gorgeous in a lavender dress and their hair done up in buns.

Everyone stands as Kev gets out of the car and helps Beth out. I never knew what happened with her parents, but Beth told me they left when she was eighteen and then died a year later from some disease in Africa.

So Kev is walking his sister down the aisle. He cried when Beth asked him. I video It and watch it now and again when I need a laugh.

My jaw drops at the sight of Beth.

When she gets to me all I want to do is kiss her

When she gets to me all I want to do is kiss her.

"You look amazing," I say. "And not even that describes it correctly."

She beams at me and takes my hands in hers.

I barely listen to the priest talk and we quickly get through the vowels. "You May now kiss the bride," the priest says.

I grab Beth and smash my lips on hers. I hear all our friends cheering and pull away slightly. "Do you have anything to do with my parents being here?" I whisper.

She nods. "I thought they should be here."

"I will have to introduce my new wife," I tease.

We walk down the aisle together and get to the table where you do all the boring stuff and sign shit.

Soon enough everyone wanted photos and then eventually I stood in front of my parents for the first time in ten years. "Hey," I say to them.

"Beautiful ceremony," dad gushes.

"Um, this is my wife, Beth," I say. "But it sounds like you guys have already met."

"Only on the phone," mum grunts.

"And she's more beautiful in person," Dad comments.

"Oh you make me blush," Beth giggles.

"I'm glad you two are here," I admit. "I should've reached out."

"No we should've," Dad says, glaring at Mum. "Some people are just stubborn."

"The bar is going great," I tell them. "Beth has finally decided to join me in it."

"Yes well it's hard to say no to a high-paying job," Beth jokes.

Mum storms away abruptly and my smile falls. "Sorry about her son," dad says. "It took me a lot to get her here."

"That's okay," I say. "Maybe it should just be me and you for lunch. Maybe tomorrow?"

Dad nods. "I'd love that."

We hug and then Dad rushes off to find Mum. I turn to Beth and kiss her. "I love you," I murmur.

"I love you too," she whispers. "Your mum's kind of a bitch."

I laugh. "I tried to warn you."

"I just wanted them here for you," Beth says. "And so you could tell them I'm-" I slam my hand over her mouth.

"No one else can know yet baby," I tease.

Yes, Beth is pregnant. With my child.

She's only five weeks old, so it's fairly new.

She pries my hand off her mouth. "You're going to be an awesome dad," she whispers in my ears.

"Yeah well you going to be a fabulous mum," I whisper back. "And we are going to be the world's best family."

"I wouldn't say best," Beth says. "I mean the Obamas are kind of ro-" I kiss her to shut her up again.

God, I love this woman
