29. Mohini's Coronation

Mohini POV 

'I think you translated it wrong.' 

The finance advisor says after Swati translates. 

I am already angry and his words are making me even more angry. 

If Swati had translated wrong I would have stopped her right there. 

I tame my anger down and sign again, 

'She hasn't translated it wrong, my coronation will happen this evening.' 

Now he is staring hard at Swati and says with a hard voice, 

'Raja-sa, are you sure that she is the right translator for Bai-sa?' 

He is staring at her angrily and the way he says it disrespects me a lot. 

I move in front of Swati, in his eyeline and stare at him with an arch of eyebrow. 

Naina comes to me and asks in disgust, 

'Aap ye kya keh rahi hai Mohini? Agam ki sthiti abhi itni kharab hai aur aapko apni Taajposhi ki padi hai? Hume aapse ye umeed nahi thi.' 

'What are you saying Mohini? Agam's condition is so bad now and you have to crown yourself? I did not expect this from you. 

I look at her and only see disgust, anger reflecting back at me. 

It hurts but that look has been given to me many times so I am not discouraged by this. 

I school my expression into bored and move away from her facing everyone again. 

I look at Swati and sign, 

'Are you okay to translate what I am going to sign?' 

If she says no then I won't force her because the way finance advisor is looking at her so hard has made her plenty uncomfortable. 

I won't add much to that uncomfortableness. I will just show them what I am trying to say. 

She nods with a small smile and says in a whisper, 

'Ji Bai-sa, aapse vada kiya hai, aapka humesha saath dena ka aur hume pura bharosa hai ki aap jo karengi usse kisi ka bura nahi hoga yaha pe.' 

'Yes Bai-sa, I have promised you that I will always support you and I am confident that whatever you do will not harm anyone here.' 

Her words punch holes through me because she is wrong. 

If this wouldn't have happened I would have done something even more wrong by kidnapping and torturing Yuvraj. 

I start signing as Swati translates, 

'According to the legislation and administration structure of Suryagarh, when a King is coronated, the Queen has to be coronated as well, its necessary.' 

I take a deep breath and continue while taking in the expressions of theirs. 

'A King can't be coronated without a Queen and vice versa but it can happen in emergency situations, like the current King has died and the Crown Prince isn't married.' 

The finance advisor is staring at Swati continuously trying to make her stop but she only looks in the eyes of Bapusaa while translating, 

'If a coronation date is fixed and because of any reason the Prince can't get coronated at the decided date then that doesn't mean that the Queen can't be coronated that day too or refuse to be coronated.'
