55. Mohini's Resolve

Mohini POV 

I cannot believe on my ears, what I just heard can't be true. 

11 years ago? What happened 11 years ago? 

Ekansh dewarsa asks him, 

'What is this evidence?' 

He asked the question which was swirling in my head. 

I can't fathom what Raja-sa didn't want me to find it. 

But then I remember that there is many things I don't know and many things he is not made me privy to. 

His eyes are still focused on the licking flames of the fire as they grow as he replies, 

'This was the record book of people who took temporary break 11 years ago after my mother's death.' 

What? Why he is burning them? 

Viraj dewarsa asks him, echoing my question, 

'What did you gain by burning them? Why are you burning them?' 

He replies looking at the growing fire dancing in front of them, 

'I can't risk her to have find anything related to that day and this is my way of ensuring that.' 

The feeling of dread intesifies inside me. 

Is he talking about the day me and my mother were attacked? 

No that can't be, it was Kamal Nath. He confessed it, though he did not said but his actions confessed for him. 

He was the one who killed my mother. 

Viraj leans forward and says in placating manner, 

'She doesn't know anything, she hadn't even tried to find about that so I think this is an unnecessary concern.' 

Raja-sa spears him with his glare, 

'She just has to stumble on something, like she did on the deaths of the people 3 years and 9 years ago.' 

He is right, I stumbled upon them when I was investigating about these deaths. 

Ekansh says nonchantly, 

'Then its good that you killed the tiniest bit possibility right here. Its time for us to go. When I will have something for you I will be back, don't expect me before that.' 

He just up and leave while the other two just look in the direction he left. 

Raja-sa sighs and puts his head in his hands, Viraj puts his hand on his shoulder in comforting gesture. 

Its really unnerving for me to see Viraj comforting Raja-sa. He says, 

'You know you made things worse when you spoke up, that thing is off limits to him.' 

Raja-sa nods his head lightly and says, 

'I didn't mean to, its just I am not in a good mood right now that's why I refused to meet you both first, but you both came here on your own.' 

I bet it is because of what happened last night between us is the reason behind his bad mood. 

It really affected him last night. 

Viraj nods his head then stands up and says, 

'I have to go too, my father's health is not good right now, when you are ready to execute your plan, do tell me and also tell me what needs to be done.' 

Raja-sa nods his head and Viraj leaves the area. 

I also leave before he finds me spying on him. 

I wander here and there with chaos going in my brain not able to understand what is wrong and what is not.
