67. The Truth About Chandani

Agam POV 

I am picture of blisfulness today. 

I just can't get last night and this morning out of my brain. 

I smile as I remember how she challenged me. I thought that whole day she will act shy. 

But she surprised me again. 

Then a rush of heat flows through me remembering what we had done last night and this morning. 

I can't focus on the work as my mind wanders back to our moment together. 

Finally I have Mohini with me, she is finally mine in all sense. 

It was so good with her that I feel complete. 

My musing is disturbed as Viraj and Ekansh enters my office. They have a grim expression as they enter. 

Their expression is enough to wipe the pleasant feeling from me for the time being. 

They sit down and wordlessly hand me a letter. 

I open it frowning at their lack of words. 

I read which widens my eyes. 

This letter is from one of the small kingdoms who are in the support of Malwa. 

This kingdom has withdrawn their support from Malwa, surprising me. 

I have been working on this for 3 years and suddenly they have withdrawn their support without doing anything. 

This doesn't sit well with me. It looks that Viraj and Ekansh are also not okay with this. 

It does help but things are looking too easy for it to be possible. 

Before I can say anything Ekansh hands me another letter making my eyebrows arch up in surprise. 

I say while taking the letter from him, 

'Don't tell me another letter of withdrawal from another supporting kingdom.' 

They don't say anything making me frown but I open it up and get another surprise. 

It is indeed another withdrawal letter. 

I am not understanding anything and frustratingly keep the letter aside. 

Another letter is forwarded by them and now I am getting angry at their lack of response and expression. 

I snatch it from them and open it up but this one surprises me for different reason. 

This letter is from my well wisher. He had stopped sending letters after that day. 

I thought that he has became real alert after what happened. 

Viraj also had no new lead in finding that man so we waited for his one clue to show up on its own. 

And it looks like he is showing himself after all. 

I read it which makes my eyes widen. I look at my friends with whom my grim expression is matching. 

Viraj speaks up, 

'We have been trying for 3 years and didn't succeed but this person did it in a span of few months.' 

Ekansh says grimly, 

'It means he is holding a very important nerve of these 2 kingdoms which made this possible for us.' 

I nod my head thoughtfully, 

'These 2 had been my main concern but I don't get why he is helping us? What he will get in return?'
