When Allie arrived to Homestead each pair of eyes snapped towards her.
"Did this ever happened before?" asked Newt looking between Allie and Alby.
"No." both of them replied at once.
"Is this bad then." this time it was Minho, one of the Runners, who spoke. Allie met his gaze, the weight of his question settling heavily upon her shoulders.
"We can't know that" Alby said while Allie furrowed her eyebrows a million thoughts going through her head.
"Chief?" Minho asked as he took step towards her, wanting to know her opinion.
"I don't know," she admitted, her voice tinged with unease. "But I have a bad feeling about this. The Box never showed up more than once, with a new kid, during a month. But I also think it depends on what is in the Box."
Her words were measured, each syllable weighed with the burden of responsibility. Allie's mind was consumed by the gravity of the situation. The silence that followed her statement spoke volumes, each member of the group absorbing the implications of her words. "Listen up," Allie declared, raising her eyes to meet the gaze of everyone present. "You all have your responsibilities when it comes to emergencies. This is one of them."
"Alli-" Alby started to say but Allie paid him no mind and continued. The leader in her waking up at the possibility of ultimate danger waiting to be released by the metal doors.
"We don't know what's in the Box. I want all of you to know of your people at all times. Count them if you need to. Keep them calm and for shacks sake do not start a fight. It may be just another Greenie. Sure, it never happened before. But here, you never know for sure." she looked around making sure that everyone understood her. "Okay?" she asked and looked to Alby for confirmation.
Everybody replied in union "Okay." and Alby nodded his head, relieved a bit that Allie took over the situation. Not that he couldn't handle it, but he knew that everybody was panicking to some extent, even if they didn't want to show it. And Allie, well, she always had a calming sense to her.

Alby, Newt and Allie had finally reached the crowd and pushed themselves to the front, standing right over the doors that led to the Box. Everyone quieted, and for the first time, the grinds and rattles of the rising lift could be heard. Everyone was staring at the Box waiting for the lift to reach the top so they could see what is inside. Everyone but Thomas. He was staring at Allie and when she noticed she looked up at him. Thomas didn't look away, there were so many unasawered questions in his mind Whys she standing with the leaders if she isn't one. Why is no one questioning it. But as Alllie kindly smiled at him he could feel this blanket of cofort fall over him and suddenly he understood. She didn't need to be an official leader to have people look up to her, she just had it in her.
