"what do you wanna talk about Tomioka-san?"The crimson boy said"well since I'm 22 now I was wondering if you would want to be my successor"The water Hashira said"s-successor!? Tomioka-san are you serious!?"The crimson boy said happily
"Yes I would want to train you as long as I could still live to these past years"the water hashira said the crimson boy's smile immediately faded as he remembers about the curse of the demon slayer mark "yeah...but why won't you just...go out and hang out with your lover?"The crimson boy said"he would want to focus on his duties then rather waste time hanging out with me"water Hashira said"oh..."The crimson dude said in frown"whats with the frown?"Said the water Hashira"but Tomioka-san why wont you two have time for each other?"The crimson boy said in concern"It's not your business Tanjiro...so what do you say you as my successor?"the water hashira asked"yes...I will"The crimson boy said confidently and happily but still a hint of concerned and frown
there was a slight smile on the water hashira he stands up and starts walking to the sunlight"you know Tanjiro...will you promise me that when I die you continue to live happily?"the water hashira said
the crimson boy was shocked and said"I don't know how to promise that ..."he said in his concern the water hashira looks at him and said"you have to be strong I'm here and I won't leave you both

that was before Giyuu-san's death followed by Nezuko I promise them that I'll kill Muzan Kibutsuji as I promise the Hashiras the first time I saw them
