"I think that the storm passed.. I'm surprised you slept a wink last night anyway, but especially with all the noise!" Susannah called as she passed me a coffee, me still sat in bed with my duvet around my waist.
"Yeah I don't know," I smiled softly "I think the alcohol might have something to do with it."
"Or was it the company Miss Ashby." She winked cheekily which made me laugh, because I have to agree with her.
And then, as if we summoned him ourselves, a knock on the door disrupted our conversation, "You can come in?" I called out hoping it was Charles and not some random housekeeper coming to clean my sheets.
But when the familiar green eyed boy peeped his head around the door and entered the room my smile grew noticeably wider, "Morning."
"Good morning.." I replied quietly, pulling the sheets up me more suddenly a little self conscious, "Are you okay?"
"Well I'm going golfing, you've been locked up in this house, why don't you come out and have a nice day at the club with me?" He forwardly asked and my heart raced, the thought of leaving the house made my head spin.
"Ooh the club is lovely Mrs Leclerc." Susannah said changing what she calls me for charles' presence.
"Well if Susannah recommends it why not?" I replied but really I was thinking about the fact he would be on the golf course and I can just sit there with a good coffee and take my book with me and it will be a nice time.
"Great," he smiled "I'll see you at eleven and we can go." And with those simple words he was gone again, it was that easy.
"Dinner must've gone well last night," Susannah happily clapped "I'm very proud of you."
"Well it was going to go well if all we talked about was you." I told her gently, I felt bad for how I treated her initially but she's kind of taken the mother role in this house.
"Oh no you didn't!" She exclaimed
"Oh yes we did!"

The drive to the country club was so short we may as well of walked, but I learnt quickly everything was close in Monaco. I mean the population is next to nothing and to walk the whole country wouldn't be hard.
Nonetheless it was absolutely beautiful.
So beautiful I cannot wait to paint it.
"Well I have a card as a member but they let me bring plus ones." He explained as he tapped his card on some machine that allowed us into the snooty country club.
"We get it you're rich." I remarked, "Wait so how many girls have you brought here? You said plus ones?"
"Jealous?" He asked with a laugh.
"No of course not, curious." I crossed my arms over my chest as we walked further into the club, practically everybody there waving to him and ignoring my existence which is how I like it.
"Usually I bring a friend." He replied because he knew I wouldn't drop it, the conversation was cut short when people began to come over and ask for photos with him.
Mr Monaco is real.
"Joris, Andrea, this is Evangeline, my wife." He introduced and my heart nearly fell out of my ass, being introduced as someone's wife at my age was a joke. I almost laughed.
"Nice to meet you." I greeted them both shyly as they embraced me in a hug and began to introduce me to more and more people, some boxer named Hugo, Riccardo and then Marta and their daughter Chiara.
The boys soon left to play golf and Charles left me with Marta who he assured I would get on with, "I cannot believe he's actually married." Marta exclaimed as we sat down, guess I won't be reading.
"Bit of a bachelor huh?" I asked sitting back in a chair and remaining eye contact with baby chiara.
"No, the opposite, his girlfriends are always long term. But he's lovely, the best godfather chiara could ask for." She promised me as she grabbed the baby, "Do you want to hold her?"
"I couldn't say no to that little face." I replied holding her in my arms, it was no lie that she was adorable. Genuinely the cutest.
"So what do you do?" She asked kindly.
"Um I always wanted to go into architecture eventually, I love drawing and all the arts side of it. I'm very passionate about my art work." I chuckled looking at the cooing child.
"Oh I'm a real estate broker!" She exclaimed with a smile, Marta was a very very smiley woman.
"Oh look at us we could have been a double threat." I replied with the same energy as her, she went on to tell me all about Charles and his passion for karting and his boats and what not.
But what got me the most was how much chiara loves Charles, and how much he loves her. Not that it was particularly surprising but a man that's good with babies and kids is a good one, "Yeah he knew she was gonna be a girl, called it from day one."
"Never."
"Mhm I know." She told me all about the friend group that included Charles, Marta & Riccardo, Hugo, Joris, Nico and Thomas and they all seemed like lovely people, "You will fit right in Eva."
"I hope so, it's sorta overwhelming." I told her honestly feeling safe to vent to her, she was understanding of the situation.
"I bet, but chiara loves you and that's my test. If she likes you you're in." Marta joked as we chatted away about the baby who was only one recently.
"Oh let me go change her." Marta then excused herself and left me to it, the view from the club made sure we could see the guys at all times and they appeared to be having fun. Every so often Charles would glance back at us.
And then out of nowhere a woman came up to me, I noticed her long brown hair and beautiful eyes first as she then began to speak, "You stole my man, I had to come see it for myself."
what the hell
"Um, who are you?"
She fake laughed as I stood also as people began to look over at us, "Alexandra? I was his girlfriend?," she rolled her eyes "Who even are you to steal him huh?"
"Look I'm sorry I didn't mean to steal your man," I shrugged, was she even telling the truth "In fact I didn't want your man but now I'm married to him and I'm really really sorry about that."
She would not let it diffuse as she continued her angry rant, her voice raising as she spoke "Your a joke, you come to Monaco for a few weeks and your married to him! You are pathetic! So desperate for his money huh."
"Hey, leave her alone." The voice was familiar to us all as Charles wandered near, Christ he must have heard us from the green.
She then began to rant, "Oh you think you're something Charles! You have some nerve leaving me for this- and I mean oh my god what is wrong with you people! She's only with you-
Charles then interrupted her, "This is my wife and speak to her like that again and we're gonna have a problem."
She was quickly escorted off of the premises by security who would stop at nothing to protect Charles and his membership here, we aren't even sure how Alex managed her way in here to be honest.
"What did I miss?" Marta asked
