The Love We Found. [A.H]

6: the book

A few weeks go by, and my book gets  published. Rossi thinks it would be good to throw a small get together, we all agree that Saturday we can hold the little party.

Saturday rolls around and just as a little gift, I decide to get everyone a little gift, to thank them for being so supportive. Penelope gets a new mug and fuzzy pink pen, as her fuzzy blue pen ran out of ink recently. Morgan gets a bottle of whiskey and jokingly a new hammer as he likes to refurbish houses. Reid gets a copy of my book as I already know he's excited, and a new scarf that's a dark purple much like the one he already has but his initials are stitched into it. Emily and JJ get matching coffee cups and a bottle of wine, because both love wine and coffee. Rossi doesn't read much so I decided to get him his own fancy whiskey glass set. And lastly Aaron, who got the first copy of my book and signed like we joked about, and a star wars Lego set for my favorite little man whose dad says is excited that i have a book.

I arrived at Rossi's first and he looked confused as to why I have gifts when I set them up. “They are thank you gifts because you guys have been supportive” I say turning around after seeing them up, he nods. “What pasta is it this time?” I ask as I move to sit at the kitchen island. “My special lasagna” he says and I laugh. “You are making the most stereotypical Italian food” I say. He rolls his eyes and I laugh.

We talk for a while before Morgan, Reid and Penelope come in, as I'm going to assume they drove together, which is probably best saying, Morgan and Penelope do drink, and Reid doesn't, he drives but doesn't like to. Penelope gives me and Rossi a hug. “Hey guys.” I say as I notice both Morgan and Reid looking at the small pile of presents on the coffee table. “Bella what are those for?” Morgan asks, “thank you gifts but you can have them after everyone gets here and after we eat” I say, then I notice that JJ and em are here, they both give me hugs and Emily and Penelope go and find Rossi's alcohol. “Don't take the stuff from Italy!” He yells and we laugh.

“la roba dall'Italia è roba buona,  Rossi” I say in Italian and I hear Emily yell ‘yes’ from behind me and I laugh, Rossi shakes his head. “David dovresti fargli prendere il vino italiano, oggi è un giorno di festa.” i hear Aaron say as he walks in with Jack, “see hotch agrees with me!” Emily says walking back in with a wine bottle that's written is an Italian. I giggle as Jack runs up to me and jumps up into my arms to give me a hug. “Izzy!!” He says excitedly. “Hi Jack,” I say as I put him down. I look back up and see Aaron already looking at us. “Hi Aaron” I say “hi bella” he says and I smile. There is only one language that only me and Aaron knew that not even Reid did. “N-aș fi crezut niciodată că ești de acord cu Emily și cu alcoolismul ei.” I say in Romanian, why do we both speak Romain, I basically said that I couldn't believe he agreed with Emily. “Hei, vinul italian este bun. și nu te înșeli complet în privința lui Emily.” He says back and I laugh, “hey i know you're talking about me” Emily says as she pours her wine, and I laugh. “Sorry Emily” I say.

After we eat, I force everyone to the living room so I can give everyone their thank you gifts. “First up, Ms Penelope” I say and hand her her gift. She opens it and smiles big. “You remembered that my blue pen ran out of ink! And I love the mug” she says happily, and I smile. “Of course I remember, pen”. I grab Morgan's gift and I try my hardest not to laugh as I give it to him. He opens the whiskey suspiciously then opens the other gift to find a bright pink glitter hammer and a very tipsy Emily and Penelope bust out laughing. “Very funny,” Morgan says sarcastically. “You said you wanted a new hammer” I say with a small laugh. Then I give Reid his, and he opens it. He looks back at me and I smile. “I know you love your other scarf but I wanted to give you one that's a little more personal to you” I say and he looks back at the scarf to find his initials stitched into it. He finds the book that I put inside the scarf and I can already tell he's excited.
“Thank you” is all he says, and I smile. Then I hand Rossi his. He opens it. “New whiskey glasses, I like it, thank you” he says and I nod, then I hand Aaron one present and Jack the other. Jack opens his up and is super excited about it. “You can never go wrong with Legos” I say quietly to Emily and she nods, Aaron opens his gift. “That is the first copy of my book, as Reid got the second copy of it” I say, he opens the front cover to find a little message.

He smiles and looks back at me. “I was partly joking about getting the first copy, but I'm looking forward to reading this” he says and I nod. “Good because I've spent way longer than what I'm willing to admit to write that” I say and Morgan chuckles.

Hey y'all, just so you guys know the translations to everything will always be at the end, just because it's easier for me.

Now the Italian and translations might be wrong so please don't be mad at me about that.
