14. Christmas party

Three weeks go by and it's the day of Rossi's Christmas party and the same day me and Aaron decided to announce our relationship. And currently I'm trying to finish doing my hair before Aaron comes. We talked to Jack and Astrid about us, and they both are excited about it, which makes this so much easier. I hear my doorbell ring and I ask Astrid to get it knowing it's Aaron. Jack and Astrid play in the living room as Aaron comes into my room to find me in my bathroom trying to straighten my hair.

“Hi Aaron” I say looking at him through my mirror. “Hi love” he says and I smile. “I'm almost done I promise” I say and he nods. Aaron and Jack have been over more than before to spend time with us. After a few minutes I finished doing my hair. “Alright done” I say turning off my hair straightener, and my bathroom light. Aaron follows me out to the living room, where the kids are. “Hey it's time to go” I say and they run to get their shoes and coats on. I slip my shoes and coat on, and Aaron does too.

By the time we get to Rossi's, Morgan and Penelope are there with their partners. Morgan is seeing a woman named Savannah and Penelope is seeing a man named Luke. The four of us walk inside and Penelope rushes over to hug me and the two kids. I decided I wasn't going to tell the girls about me and Aaron being official yet, as I wanted some surprise for us still. “Your hair! I have seen you have straight hair in months” she says, dragging me to meet Luke. “I know I know” I say. “Oh bells this is my boyfriend Luke, Luke this is Bella” she says and me and Luke shake hands. “Nice to meet you” I say. “Nice to meet you too” he says with a small Spanish accent. “Alright Penelope, I'm going to go bug our bestie Morgan” I say and she laughs. I walk over to Morgan and Savannah. “Oh savannah this is bella and bella this is savannah my girlfriend” he says and I shake hands with her. “So you must be the girl he never shuts up about” I say with a small laugh. “Penelope said the same thing, I hope he's not too annoying” she says and I shrug. “We have gotten used to him by now” I say and she laughs. “Nice to meet you savannah but I've got to go find my daughter” I say and she nods. “Nice to meet you too” she says.

I find Aaron with Astrid on his hip helping David with dinner in the kitchen, not something I was expecting to see. Before I can say anything jack comes up to me and makes grabby hands at me, meaning he wants to get picked up. I smile and pick him up, placing him on my hip like Aaron is with Astrid. I walk over to the island, and sit up on one of the bar stools and move Jack to sit in my lap. “papà pasta, cosa stai preparando?” I ask
(Papa pasta whatcha making?)
"Beh, ho Aaron che guarda il prosciutto e adesso sto preparando le patate. purtroppo niente pasta stasera.” Rossi answers and I let out a disappointed sigh. (Well, I have Aaron looking at the ham and now I'm making the potatoes. unfortunately no pasta tonight) “lo so, lo so, è quello che ho detto anch'io.”

Aaron says and I giggle, both Astrid and Jack look at us weird. “Sorry sorry, love bugs, it's Italian” I say and they nod with only partial understanding. “Anyways, are you going to fly back to Italy any time soon?” I ask and he raises an eyebrow. “Are you going to fly back to Romania any time soon?” he says back and I nod. “Fair enough” I say and Aaron chuckles.

I hear the door open and Emily, JJ and Reid walk through. “Hey look aunt Emily and JJ are here, same with uncle Spencer” I say and both Jack and Astrid wiggle out of our grips to go see them, both me and Aaron chuckle. They all hug and JJ goes to put their gifts under the tree. JJ and Emily walk to the kitchen and Reid goes to the living room to show the kids some magic tricks. Emily sits next to me and JJ sits next to her. “I'll got grab a bottle of wine” I say and before Rossi has time to tell me not the Italian kind I say “don't worry I'll make sure to grab the non Italian kind” and I hear them all laugh, I walk into the hallway where his cabinet is that he has all his alcohol in. And I grab one of his more expensive ones but that's not from Italy.
