A few days go by and it's New Year's Eve. Me and Aaron are going separately this time and I'm fine with that, as Reid called me for support about bringing Maeve to Rossi's new years party. Of course I said that I'll be the first one there and he should be too so we can just talk to Rossi, and he agreed, so an hour before everyone else I'm at Rossi's with Astrid. I sit at the island as Rossi makes the food as he doesn't want my help, Astrid is playing in the living room. I hear the door open and Reid and Maeve walk in. My face lights up as they walk in. “Spencer, I'm so happy that listened to me” I say as he walks into the kitchen with her. “Hi, I'm Bella, one of Spencer's coworkers” I say, holding my hand out for her to shake, she smiles and shakes my hand “you're the one who wrote that book” she says and I smile. “yup, and my daughter is out in the other room” I say and she nods, Rossi looks slightly confused and turns around and looks at him “Maeve do you drink?” I ask with a smirk looking at Rossi as he already knows what I'm about to say. “Do you have white wine?” she asks and I nod. “no, non il vino italiano, Isabella” Rossi says in Italian
(No not the Italian wine Isabella)
The four of us laugh as we all know Italian. “siamo a Capodanno, David, sto tirando fuori del buon vino.” I say back and Rossi rolls his eyes.
(This is New years eve, David, im bringing out the good wine.)

Everyone makes it and everyone really likes Maeve. I go out on the back porch for a little bit to take a moment to reflect on the year. Reid comes out and I look over at him. “Thank you. Thank you for everything” he says and I smile. “Spencer, you have found someone who I can just tell will be with you no matter what, you don't need to tell me thank you, it was a good idea to bring her with you, she's just as much family as savannah is” I say and he smiles. “I appreciate that,” he says before going back inside. I sit down on the patio, and just watch the Stars, Astrid and Jack are playing, and the others are talking and watching tv. The quiet is nice, I just sit and think about the last year.

The lunches with the girls, the nights out, the cases, my book, getting Astrid, getting together with Aaron, all of it, something so emotional about it. I take a deep breath as I wipe my eyes, everything that happened the last year has been so emotional and yet so amazing. I don't know what the new year is going to bring me, but I hope I continue to be with the man I've grown to love, and the daughter who has made me realize how much I should've gotten her out sooner, and the family who has helped me through everything.

Aaron Hotchner. My boss, but also my boyfriend. The person I can rely on. The person who is an amazing dad. The man who makes sure everyone is okay after every case. The person who hates parties and yet comes to everyone. The person who makes sure Jack is okay and knows his mom is watching him and is proud of him. Aaron, who made our first date something to remember. The man who I love, yet haven't told him.

Emily Prentiss. The woman who helped me through every hangover I've gotten, while she herself has one. The one I've called at 3 AM because I needed advice. The woman who told me that she was lesbian while driving to a victim's family house on a case, the woman who called me at 2 am drunk telling me she was in love with JJ. And who has helped me through everything with Astrid. And the countless texts and calls about random things.

Jennifer jareau. The woman who laughed at me when I fell going up the stairs, drunk. The woman who has been the rock of the team during some of the hardest things, the woman who anyone can call for anything. The woman who loves Cheetos so much Morgan got her a Cheeto blanket. The woman who told me that she liked Emily while completely sober at my house, and didn't elaborate on it. And who has made lunch time funny when we go out for lunch.

David Rossi, the closest thing I have to a father. The man who has made sure I have a place to stay in case of something. The man who lets me know that he's proud of me and makes sure I'm okay. The man who has become Astrid's grandfather and treats both of us as his own, and supported my book. The man who says he's not interested in stross yet continues to check her out, even though I make a fake gag every time I notice.

Spencer Reid. The man who rivals me with knowledge. The man who read my book within an hour of getting it. Spencer who's the kids favorite because he's just as goofy as them. The man who got happier with Maeve yet didn't tell anyone. The man who cheats at cards and everyone knows but still plays against him. The man who has called me at odd hours because of something. And who rambles to me about anything because he knows I'll listen.

Penelope Garcia. The woman who stalked all of us before we joined but we never say anything about it. The woman who has some of the weirdest pet names with Morgan, and everyone just deals with it. The woman who has done entire searches on the people I've been out with, and tells me everything about it. The woman who goes into detail about the men she went out with before she got together with Luke, who has made her so incredibly happy.

Derek Morgan. The man who does renovations on the side because he gets bored, the man who calls me and Garcia pet names because he didn't know our names. The man who makes fun of Reid's non-existent love life. And constantly makes some interesting comments about different things in reference to his night out. And in meeting Savannah he has become very reserved for her sake.

I don't notice how long I've been out here until I notice Aaron sitting next to me. “You disappeared” he says and I nod. “The kids are in David's guest room, they fell asleep” he says and I nod again. “It's a minute to midnight,” he says, checking his watch. “This year has been probably the most emotional but best year I've had in a long time” I say and he nods. I sigh and stand up and he follows me up, we can hear the rest of them counting down, then the happy new year! Yell. Me and Aaron look at each other and give each other the classic new years kiss.

The team slowly leaves after midnight, and I carry Astrid back to my SUV. I put her in her room and I went to bed. Happy new year.

And now we bring in the new year, this was going to be on new years but I got the dreaded writer's block and didn't write.
