eden smiled happily, waiting on the couch, staring at the door.

steven, jere, and belly were in the kitchen eating breakfast when conrad walked in.

eden was too excited to eat.

it was the fourth of july. that's when the dads come, but more importantly when lily comes to visit eden.

belly was also excited to see lily, she really liked lily, but not as excited as eden. plus, her and eden hadn't really talked about what happened at the party and no one knew that her and steven were dating besides the moms (and conrad because he can read eden like a book). jere thought steven had let her down easy and belly had no idea what to think. eden and steven were gonna tell everyone that day.

eden heard a knock on the door and jumped up.

she ran over and opened the door.

lily was standing there with her belongings.

"eden!"

"lily!"

they then both let out ungodly screams before hugging each other.

there was the sound of something falling in the kitchen and a screech.

"what the hell!"

the girls giggled and pulled away.

"let me see it! let me see the ringgggg!" lily exclaimed.

"shhhh! keep your voice down!" eden whisper-shouted.

"girl, please. they know you're wearing the ring they can see it on your finger." lily rolled your eyes.

"okay, sure, but they don't know what it truly is." eden reminded.

"okay, whatever. show me!" lily exclaimed.

"okay! okay!"

she held out her hand and lily gasped then slapped her hand over her mouth.

"eden!" she said when she pulled her hand away. "it's beautiful."

eden grinned. "i know."

they both giggled again and hugged each other once more.

"lily's here!" eden called.

"yeah, we heard!" steven called back.

"shut up, twig!" eden yelled.

"says you!"

"would you two stop yelling across the house. eden and lily come in here!" laurel called.

"go put your stuff upstairs, i'll be in the kitchen."

lily nodded and went upstairs while eden went to the kitchen.

"hello, everyone. lily is putting her things upstairs and she'll be right down." eden announced.

"cool." belly said.

"lily is so fun. i'm happy she's here." jeremiah said.

steven nodded in agreement.

eden smiled. "me too."

lily came back down the stairs and entered the kitchen.

"good morning conklin's and fishers. where's connie conrad?" she asked.

"went down to the beach for the clams." jeremiah replied.

"ew. clams are gross." lily cringed.

"ugh, you're gross." eden rolled her eyes, jokingly.

"uh, miss girl, that was kinda rude. i don't appreciate the attacks when i just got through the door." lily retorted.

"too bad." eden shrugged and smiled.
