"it's sold?" conrad questioned. "you—you sold this house in the last 12 hours?"

"yes. to a-a lovely family with three children and some kind of a poodle mix." she answered.

"well, it can't just be over." jeremiah shook his head.

"it is. uh, i'm gonna need your keys, please." julia said.

the boys reached in their pockets and handed julia their keys.

she looked to eden and put her hand out.

she rolled her eyes and took her key off of her key chain and tossed it to julia, the key ending up on the ground.

she smirked as julia bent down to pick it up.

"mom, don't do this." skye said.

"skye, really?" julia raised her eyebrows, then turned to the boys and eden. "i told you three that i was selling the house, you just refused to believe it. i'm not enjoying it, but i will admit that i'm relieved it's finally over."

she then turned to skye. "come on, skye. excuse me."

she walked in between the boys and their sister.

skye huffed and went over to their mother.

eden sighed and rubbed the back of her neck. "this is so ridiculous. this is so fucking ridiculous!"

"eden—."

"no, no. i should kick her ass to boston. i'm gonna—."

she went to storm over to julia, but steven held her back.

"eden, stop. it's not going to do any good and it will only get you in trouble." steven said.

eden rubbed her eyes and steven pulled her into him.

julia's car finally pulled away and skye walked back over to the group.

skye shook their head. "she's not budging."

"didn't think she would." jeremiah sighed.

they then decided as a group to go back inside. the door was still unlocked, so they were able to get back in.

the group then gathered in the kitchen.

"okay, so i know things aren't so great right now, but it's always the darkest before dawn, right?" jeremiah said.

"yeah, not this time." conrad muttered.

"so what? we're supposed to go home now?" steven asked.

"yeah. it's over." conrad answered.

eden looked down. it couldn't be over, but conrad was right. it was. eden just couldn't figure out how could it be over so soon.

"no. our—our last memory here can't be this. everyone miserable and defeated. i mean, this place deserves a better goodnye than that." belly spoke up.

"like what?" conrad asked.

"my mom came to the beach house with susannah for the first time after her dad died and it was supposed to be just the two of them, but susannah hated how empty the house felt, so she decided to throw a huge party. everyone was dancing and drinking and they went swimming at midnight. and susannah said it was like gatsby or something. so i say that we throw a party too."

jeremiah shrugged. "i'm in."

"me too." taylor smiled.

eden nodded. "i'm down."

"me three." skye raised their arm.

"oh, i love this for us." cam cameron smiled causing eden to giggle.
