As we were traveling to Coruscant, I was going to go into the captain's office to let him know we would soon be arriving when I heard him speaking with someone. "Captain, you are responsible for the deaths of our allies and the capture of a general due to your ship. We have moved our allies closer to the mid-rim thanks to your assistance, so you must keep your cover tight. I will deal with you later."
It is understandable that it was too simple for the rebels to enter because the captain, a spy, was the one who permitted them to enter the mid-rim. An imperial defector was providing them with information. I should let the admiral know about the information I discovered.
"Hello, Lieutenant, come in. How may I be of assistance to you today?" I enter his office and shut the door. "I apologize for disturbing you, Admiral. However, I think I know how the rebels entered the middle rim undetected by the imperial patrols until recently."
"Oh, please do tell." As I go on to discuss how I recently discovered that the captain had been giving the rebels information, enabling them to cross the mid-rim and establish bases that were relatively close to the core world, the admiral then made the decision to execute him for treason upon arriving in Coruscant regarding his meeting with the Imperial Intelligence.
However, the admiral gave me the task of apprehending the captain before he could send any more information before I left. I have therefore assembled a team of security personnel to guarantee the captain's cooperation in this situation.
When we got to the captain's office and were given permission to enter, stormtroopers surrounded him and made him raise his hand in surrender. "I regret to inform you, Captain, but you have been charged with treason against the Galactic Empire and are hereby placed under arrest." After the stormtrooper secured him with cuffs, I continued. "All that you have said and done will be used against you. Take him away to the brig."
After the guards led the captain to the brig, I went into his office to look for any useful hints or information. That's how I discovered their most recent recording of the earlier conversation with the rebel leader, which I can use to prove to the Imperial Intelligence that the captain committed treason.
I was called from the bridge to get ready for our arrival in Coruscant and had to be on the bridge while the security guards escorted him to the brig. When planetary security questioned us upon our arrival at Coruscant and upon reaching the bridge, I provided them with my clearance code to dock with the space station.
As soon as we docked, I gave the order to security to take the brig prisoners to the hangar bay so they could be taken to the prison; the admiral and the captain would accompany me on a different shuttle.
Prisoners were being led to the shuttles, and the captain was being led to another shuttle that I would be using when I arrived at the hangar bay. The captain's handcuffed state is the only thing I regret, but this is how a traitor should be dealt with.
As we approached the headquarters of the Imperial Security Bureau, Colonel Yularen and his agents were there to greet us and take the captain away for interrogation. "Hello Lieutenant, I've heard about your recent professional handling of the rebel situation, including the admiral's commendation for your ability to destroy them with the fewest possible casualties."
"That is true, Colonel, even though all I have been doing is serving the empire's security needs, which includes revealing the captain to be a spy. I am able to obtain the captain's earlier exchange with the rebel leader, which could help in locating their base."
When I handed the datacard to the Colonel, he expressed amazement at my ability to retrieve it. "I'm impressed by your ability to find this information, and since everything the captain told may be on this card, I think it's your decision to put him to death for treason."
With a pointed glance at the traitor, the colonel hands me his SE-14r light-repeating blaster. "Any last word, Captain?". He smiled while staring at the blaster barrel. "Long Live the Rebellion." With that, I execute the captain, removing a rebel scum.
The colonel, who was impressed with my dedication, commends me. "I have never met someone who is capable of doing evil in order to protect others from it and who has such a strong commitment to the cause of security."
He raised me above all else when he approached me, putting his hand on my shoulder and looking directly into my eyes. "I am extending an invitation to join the Imperial Security Bureau as an agent of external affair today and promoting you to be the youngest captain of a ship."
I thought I would only be protecting the galaxy from pirates and rebels, so I was completely taken aback. I could never have imagined myself becoming an ISB agent. Though I was on the verge of tears, I forced myself to remain composed and shook his hand in agreement.
The admiral thanked me for my promotion and expressed his happiness, saying that since I had previously saved him, he could call on me for assistance if needed. I was given the proper attire and uniform as soon as I entered the headquarters, and I was then asked to take an oath.
Once all was in order, the colonel asked me to look into the outer rim where the Admiral had been left, destroy any Rebel colonies, establish any connections, and make sure every colony in the galaxy is safe under imperial control.
I was also informed about a training room while I was there, where I could use the two training droids that had been installed on my ship to train my body and skills. This would come in handy if I ever had to fight without a blaster.
The Colonel then tells me that my crew was notified about this and has been getting ready for my arrival ever since. He also says that because of their recent actions, my crew has been promoted. I was pleased for them since they heeded my instructions to the latter and did so with effectiveness and efficiency.
I declined the Colonel's offer to switch to a star destroyer because I prefer the Venator in naval combat as it suits me. Following all of that, I was on the bridge, commanding my crew to enter hyperspace and head toward the specified coordinates in order to look into any rebel activity and maintain order and security for the empire.
